I ordered a baby boy gift basket for my niece, I was notified it was out for delivery. By the end of the day, i was concerned that I had not been notified that it had been delivered. I did a USPS tracking and saw the package was not delivered due to insufficient address. Only the city, state and zip code were on the package. The street address. was missing. As I was explaining this to the representative she interrupted me to ask me if I called USPS to provide the full address. She read the full address to me and said they had the full address so it wasn't their error. I asked for her supervisor and she told me she was the only supervisor available to assist me. After explaining the issue again she finally stated she saw the information from USPS and stated they couldn't do anything to help until they received the package back from USPS. I asked if the package would be resent overnight to compensate for the error on their end and the representative informed me overnight delivery is not available in my area. This is news to me I have lived here 20+ years and can not count the number of things I have received via overnight delivery in that time. The gift baskets are cute on the website, I ill never know if the product lives up to the expectation, because the customer service...
Read moreI placed an international gift delivery order with The Gift Group through their website, trusting their service to ensure the timely and responsible delivery of a package to a recipient in Kingston, Ontario.
The courier associated with the delivery, Canpar, marked the order as âdelivered,â yet the recipient never received the package, and no individual at the destinationâconcierge, front desk, or neighborsâaccepted it. No notification was sent to the recipient, no signature was requested, and no proof of responsible delivery has been provided, beyond a vague âdeliveredâ status and an image of an unidentifiable area.
Despite raising this issue with the company and clearly explaining that the package was not delivered securely or to the correct recipient, The Gift Group refused to assume any responsibility, citing general policies that do not account for delivery without confirmation, signature, or appropriate notification.
This situation demonstrates a clear failure in service, and the company continues to ignore its duty of care, pushing all liability onto the courier and the recipient. I find this not only unacceptable but in direct conflict with the principles of consumer protection under Ontario law, especially regarding failure to deliver paid...
Read moreHazeltonâs was an entirely random choice from scrolling on the internet for a company which supplied and delivered gift baskets to Kelowna BC. My company choice was based upon the selection of gifts, price and ease of payment from UK, and Hazeltonâs fulfilled that criteria. My granddaughter, the recipient, was absolutely delighted with her present from, her words, âthe best nanny in the worldâ !! Throughout the delivery process I was kept fully infomed of the position of my parcel through thorough tracking and final delivery, and I have no hesitation in recommending, and indeed, using this...
