Engagement Ring: My girlfriend (at the time) and I went searching for rings back in March of 2021 with no intention of buying anything that day, since we had appointments at other jewelers in Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo. We both love supporting local businesses, so we took a chance with Anthony's Jewlers. While my girlfriend was looking at rings, it dawned on me that I used to go to Anthony's with my grandmother when I was a child. The staff remembered my grandmother. My grandmother has been doing business with them for the past 53 years. If that doesn't speak highly of a customer service and quality, I don't know what else does. They have great rings, great customer service, and a great atmosphere. Raz and Angie are great individuals!

I never felt pressured to buy anything on the spot! My girlfriend really liked one ring in particular, but we told Raz that we had other appointments and he said "That's okay! Look around and see what fits." We went to our other appointments, but we couldn't get over the ring she liked, the staff, and how my grandmother has been doing business with them forever!

Hustler! BEWARE!!! This guy is a hustler. I went in to get a silver ring resized. Only needed it half a size smaller. I initially wanted beads added to it so as to not weaken the ring, but after getting 3 different prices ($90 being the highest) I was told resizing was my best bet. I then got 2 different prices for resizing. He told me it was going to cost that much because they dip the BOTTOM of the ring in platinum to make it shiny…. That should have been my first clue to run! I was given a seemingly fair price after I told him I don’t need it dipped and was going to shop around. I felt very uneasy about the whole encounter but shrugged it off. I left 2 rings of different sizes to get resized smaller. Upon picking them up one fit and the other was still too big! He told me “we couldn’t go any smaller you will have to add the beads”. You are freaking kidding me!!! Also the seems on both rings are visible and very poorly done. This should have been a very easy fix for a professional jeweler. My bad for trusting a jewelry shop to handle my jewelry…. Now it has to be resized again and can weaken it even more. I was looking for a jewelry shop that can change watch batteries. Lots of local jewelers turned me away within 5 seconds of being there without even looking at the watch, even after calling their businesses beforehand and asking if they had the tools for it. 4/5 places even agreed to having this particular tool. Finally, as I was headed home after my 5th attempt, I ultimately decided to stop at Anthony’s Jewelers to give it one last shot. I was greeted by amazing staff and was helped instantly by a lovely gentleman. I didn’t catch his name unfortunately, but he was so kind to listen to my dilemma and actually looked at the watch I brought in, attempted and successfully helped me. He educated me on the kind of watch I had, how to care and handle it, why other shops may have turned me down, AND he fixed the watch in seconds.
