I have eaten at many Nick the Greeks over the years, and I usually love the food. It is dependable and my go-to when I eat out. However, I was VERY rudely spoken to when I picked up my takeout order. I walked in, and the worker did not notice me enter. His back was turned towards me, and hadn't even noticed me. I saw a closed plastic bag on the counter, with a receipt next to it with my name. I reached over the counter to reveal more of the receipt, which did have my name. At this point, the worker behind the counter saw me and abruptly began to yell at me, "Excuse me, what are you doing? You are not allowed to touch anything!" I responded, "I'm sorry, I walked in, you had earbuds in your ears and your back turned towards me-" He cut me off and said, "I don't care, I can refuse you service right now!" And he began to remove my food from the counter. At this point, I was shocked because no one had ever spoken to me like this at a restaurant. I replied, "If you want to take it away, I want a refund. Listen, I saw it was a closed bag, and saw the receipt had my name on it." I don't know what made him change his mind, but eventually, he gave me food. I then apologized for the misunderstanding because I simply just wanted my food. Unfortunately, after this traumatic experience and being yelled at, I will not be ordering from any Nick the Greek location again. There are indeed other great places in town for similar cuisine. I enjoy The Green Olive and The Garden. I will be exclusively going there...
Read moreI walked in and was the first in line to order, the person at the register did not greet me but while I waited about 5 min they said I’ll be right with you, took about 7 min before they took mine and my cousins order. I then waited a total of 38 minutes for our food, both on separate orders and we ordered the chicken gyro bowl. She got her order first about 15 min after she ordered I was still waiting for mine and nothing I was standing there trying to get his attention to see what the hold up was but wouldn’t acknowledge me. Finally got my order and I just walked out come to find out when I got home my order was wrong I live about 20 min away so I wasn’t going to drive back to attempt to get it fixed. Would not recommend if you are on a time crunch they could have you waiting also without an explanation. The baklava also was not great, the one at Jaffa is a million...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing food and service. Has definitely become my favorite spot in the area. Their plates are very authentic and have lots of flavor. I would highly recommend getting the beef/lamb Gyro and the Souvlaki plate with Chicken. The Gyro comes with fries so it adds lots of amazing flavor and the chicken is juicy and tender. My husband and I’ve been to many Greek restaurants before and this is definitely one of the best ones we have been to. Not only is the food great but the service is exceptional too. The owner is super kind and generous. He replaced my plate free of charge when my 2 year old decided to throw it across the room. That meant a lot considering that he didn’t have to do that. Nonetheless, we will be coming back when we are in...
