I have been a long time customer of chick fil a as I used to live in the la area where I first had the food and fell in love with the experience offered and the food of course. Saying that I would like to also say I am a red member just to verify I have spent more than enough money to receive at least the basic services and I definitely know what to expect in my experience when I do visit a chick fil a. I do constantly visit the state street location in Santa Barbara which is also near me and the service is always CONSISTENT. Well I have been going to the Santa Maria location and found that these young employees at this location especially at night have a lack of management and training. When making my order I had a young lady laughing on the intercom as I was trying to order interrupting me and making it difficult to understand her as she read back my order. As I moved to pay I approached a young man who began yelling my name repeatedly laughing and asking is that really your name? I have never had this experience as I approach I usually am greeted and thanked for my visit and this was a more confrontational experience. This employee seemed unhappy to be working and was taking his emotions were showing in his demeanor and attitude. I had other people in the car and we all began to question if he always provided service this way. He began to say no and that he was sorry he was joking and didn’t mean to offend us. I was confused I am trying to pay this individual for a service and he thinks yelling at customers is a joke. I spoke with manager Gabe on staff and he let me know about chick fil a cares and to contact them and let them know he would make a statement to let the corporate office know that his employee was completely out of line. He did have me park and gave me more information and coupons for future visits and he himself is the reason I gave one star he was the only person who provided respect and also took responsibility for the horrible experience. I have not gotten contacted by the owner from this location Joey Hickox. I spoke with Josh the director of operations who said he had no idea and was not informed of the employee misconduct. I feel like the treatment of customers is not a primary priority starting from the top and not communicating with people who have been mistreated shows they don’t care about their customers or the service. Not affectively dealing with these situations after your employees mistreat customers brings down the level of service and expectation for all locations and the overall brand. Despite the efforts it’s an awkward situation at the least and I would be amazed if chick fil a could get me to feel comfortable and confident in my experience at this Santa Maria , California location. To be honest if I could have put 0 stars I would because this location has done nothing but ride on my expectation of other locations and hasn’t provided the level of service I am accustomed to from any...
Read moreChick-fil-A's most recent location addition (Santa Maria) is a very wise and strategic move for the chicken company. Lots of heavy traffic flow, people passing through.
Despite the busyness, they were able to get me through the drive thru ordering line(s) rather quickly; (I think I was in the actual 'idle waiting' line for maybe 15mins?) Employee who took my order was very polite and calm during the intense rush hour she was experiencing compared to myself. Moving on, I pay, pull up, get my order, and they send me on my way.
Super excited to bring the food to my girlfriend on her lunch as it's her first time trying C-F-A, oops! They sent me away without giving me my drinks :/ luckily, I was able to pick some up at the gas station nearby because I wasn't going to wait in line again for 2 drinks..
This was due to the frazzled new establishment still getting things in line, I'm sure they'll get the hiccups out soon enough!
Great experience otherwise! Will be back once the...
Read moreAs a regular customer it's frustrating to see the inconsistency of a restaurant that serves good food. I've been going to Chick Fil-A since they opened at first I would get everything good the order and most important my food was always on point. After a few visits I started getting my order wrong. For instance one time I went for breakfast and I clearly asked for Strawberry Jam for my CFA BISCUIT and I got RANCH! How do you mess that up? I continued going because the food is really good don't get me wrong, but today I had enough! I went for lunch and went through the Drive thru ordered what I wanted and when I was ready to eat my food to my surprise my so called "medium waffle fries" were barely halfways full. I was pretty upset because whoever put those fries in my bag must have not cared for what the other person would say.And this is not the first time it has happened with the fries just that this time it was pretty upsetting. I'm pretty...
