Deceptive Fees and Trials of Patience

Clouded, the truth of parking fees is. The sign, it proclaimed: Parking, 10 credits. Trucks and oversized starships, 5 credits more. Yet in my humble transport—no larger than a standard speeder—I was still charged this extra toll. Arbitrary, this was. Unjust, it felt.

Further deceptions lay in wait. First-level docking demanded 20 credits, while the second level, 5 credits fewer. Seeking wisdom in frugality, to the second level I ventured. But lo! A sign appeared, forbidding the lift to all but tenants and those with special clearance. While stairs I could manage, frustrating it was, this restriction without reason. For those with younglings or burdens, an undue challenge this would be—unless, of course, one defied the sign and took the lift regardless.

SCAM ALERT! 🚨 This place has a guy streetside waving a welcoming flag next to a sign, clearly advertising $15 for parking.

BEWARE: when you get inside that there’s a potbellied man that will gruffly tell you that parking on that level is $30, and if you want to park on the next level below, it’s $20. Then he will tell you that you “need to have your car out by 12 o’clock AM”. (Mind you, it was already 10:30 PM, so why the rate hike?) What’s worse? The way he says all of this is with an attitude, like you’re paying him to park at his house. The finality of his tone tells you that he’s already ready to argue against for the rebuttals about the $15 advertised.

Please, if you own or manage this parking garage, just know that somebody else is pocketing these...

Really rude staff and poorly displayed prices. $10 flat rate but once you get inside the bump it to $20 for larger vehicles. They have a tiny sign behind the counter to point at when you question it. No sign up about overnight fees until you try to leave, then they charge you an extra $40 for over night stay even though there’s no signage to state this. They threatened to have our registration suspended and to send it to the DMV and a $150 fine if we didn’t pay. They can’t seem to get their prices straight and they hang up on you...
