Player One VR World — Attraction in Santa Monica

Omg- you won’t believe me when I tell you this is the absolute BEST virtual reality place I’ve ever been to! This vr place is huge and contains a lot of cool experiences. My friends and I came for an evening to have fun and the moment we walked in, there were people and lights everywhere! First my friend and I tried the 360 ride- it was SOO much fun! It flipped you upside down and did some 90 degree spins. The actual vr experience was a “free roam” sort of thing. I played the zombie game with all my besties, and oh man we were screaming! It was so realistic that I jumped back from a zombie. It was so awesome! We played another game which was a cooking game. It was the BEST cooking game I have ever experienced! The game has a 5 second rule, so if you serve customers food and drop it on the floor, you can pick it up within 5 seconds! Honestly, if your looking for a nice and unique cooking game, this is the place to go. The theme of the place was a light up glow, it was very unique from all the other places I’ve been to. The workers were extremely nice, asking if there were any problems. Overall, this was one of the best experiences I have ever been to! Background: not a gamer (at all), have baseline motion sickness (can’t ride roller coasters without feeling dizzy), scared of zombies but…

Player One WAS SO FUN!!!! I went with just my boyfriend for his birthday with the “Golden Ticket” and we played Outbreak, a zombie stimulation game with guns. Even with two players, it was an extremely fun experience! I was skeptical at first, but wow, once you put on the VR gear it’s a super immersive experience. The 30 minutes passed by fast, and by the end, I was drenched with sweat from all the moving around. I felt the game was beginner friendly without being too easy; the controls are easy to get & though the zombies were scary at first, I got used to them quickly.

Dennis was working that day and helped us, he was very helpful and informative & really tried our best to accommodate us. Knowing my partner is scared of zombies, he let us trial the game first & checked in with us to make sure we were still enjoying it. At the end we were able to view both team & individual stats, and see videos of us in game and in real life. It was super funny to see.

My friends and I have been playing Space Marine 2 religiously so when we saw that a VR experience was available we sprinted towards it. I had never been to a VR place before or even done VR so my expectations were honestly pretty low. How high quality could the graphics really be for such an ambitious concept?.... Oh how wrong I was. Player One VR World gave us a succinct and excellent tutorial as we entered our massive VR playground. Throwing on those goggles immediately immersed me. I finally understood the movie Ready Player One in that moment as me and my best friends turned into space marines and fought for the god emperor!!! I never once felt claustrophobic or thrown off by the experience. We had so much fun and even got to compete against one another. The coolest part was that we were playing with 4 strangers and the mission really allowed each party of 4 to be doing their own things at certain points, then coming together as a squad for others.
