T's Catch Seafood Market — Local services in Santa Rosa Beach

Do yourself a favor and travel over the bay to get your seafood here. This is one of those hidden treasures you want to keep to yourself, but it's too great of a place to do that. The seafood is great and the staff is fabulous. I am kind of a snob/picky eater when it comes to fresh fish. I've been spoiled by living in the Florida keys where fresh fish is abundant. This place fits the bill. More than that their customer service is superb. If you are new to ordering fish. this is the place for you. You can ask as many questions as you want and they will have an answer for you. I've watched them take their time, educate and assist customers multiple times while I was waiting in line. They graciously helped a sweet old lady, who was confused on how to order a seafood boil. Very precious moment. I love to see a family business flourish especially when you can tell they love what they do. I am landlocked for the next couple months so I purchased as much fresh seafood that I could travel with. The fish and steaks are great….Very fresh and very high quality. We really enjoyed the food. The lady that helped us was friendly and efficient. You couldn’t ask for more. The rest of this review may get me a lot of negativity but I am taking a stand. After spending over $100, when I went to pay with my credit card, what appeared on the screen was a request for a tip, with suggested tips ranging from $20, and more. I’m done. I am not going to shop at typical non-restaurant businesses that apply tipping requests or pressure. Restaurants are bad enough as it is. If you don’t agree with my position and choose to pontificate or lecture me, please feel free to unload all your nonsensical arguments. But this tipping culture bureaucracy is unique to the USA and I can’t help but believe that we have gotten this all wrong. T’s catch is my place to go. Delicious crab cakes, fish is always fresh. Last time I had some salmon, was so good, buttery and didn’t need anything extra, was absolutely awesome. Today , I picked up catfish, fillets were big and thick, after frying them: 1 fillet was plenty for 1 person. I love his Key lime pie.
