On Saturday; May 18, 2024 my family & I came to this restaurant around 1830.
The only reason I am giving 1 star is a huge thank you to our waitress Nicole. It’s common sense, if you are not happy with your job then find another job & do not take your problem from home to work. Anyone who’s had a job for 10+ years will tell you the same thing.
Besides the waitress, my family & I appreciate the respect & understanding from the manager. Especially being able to accommodate our request for another waitress.
I apologize but the food, I had given 1 star because there was no taste. I had to put half the bottle of soy sauce & more than what I usually put in my pho.
My daughters hardly touched their bowls as well. We all tried to eat what we could due to the prices being very high.
We are from Fresno, Ca. The pho bowls are $8 for a small & $12 for a large. Here there are 1 size bowls of phos.
The steamed veggies were not soft. My mom could barely eat her veggies. My mom as well had the bi-gastric sleeve surgery which means she cannot eat much.
Basically my mom only eats steamed soft veggies, jasmine rice, soups, & soft chow mein.
This is why my mom kept asking the waitress Nicole about more details on the plates from the menu.
Nicole should really take into consideration customers not being able to eat certain foods not only this but the portion size.
There should also be a kids menu with the phos as well because the pho restaurant we eat at here back at home in Fresno, Ca, there is a small menu for the kids.
The thai tea had been very strong almost tasted as coffee…
I had given 5 stars for the atmosphere due to the fact of the hospitality & respect from the manager along with her employees.
Hopefully Nicole can learn from her fellow coworkers here on how to treat customers in the right manner.
The only good thing on the menu was the blended drinks which my sister really enjoyed.
A very big thank you to the staff here for letting us feel very comfortable after our request to have a...
Read moreBright, lively ambiance, friendly and quick service. College crowd and families. Avocado spring roll was nice and tightly rolled unlike in many wannabe Vietnamese offerings, and the accompanying sauce was not too sweet.as.o was.agtaid it would be. (Didn't have much fish sauce in it though, for those of you might like that unique flavor.) The pho came nice and hot, with plenty of bean sprouts and cilantro - but no basil. The 3 slices of large jalapeno were a nice surprise as those peppers are often way smaller. Broth flavor was ok, but not as aromatic as I know it can be (needed a little more star anise, I think), and the meat was surprisingly tough, though cut in the right fine slices. Partner liked his stir fried veggies and tofu on rice vermicelli. He gobbled it up, but when we.got home about 2-3 hrs later, he complained the meal didn't sit well. We both loved the Vietnamese coffee - as good as any we've had elsewhere. So, we'll come back to try.again - maybe for lunch so we can drink the coffee before 2 and still be able to get a good...
Read moreBeen here half a dozen times in the past couple months and ALWAYS order the Bánh mì with roasted pork. Up until the last two times, I was very impressed with the sandwich, but all of a sudden the amount of food in the sandwich has been reduced by at least 50%. Today I went to try and redeem my experience from the last weekend, I thought, maybe the person who made it was hurried and I didn't get enough, but no, it seems it's the old issue of a restaurant resting on their laurels once they establish a good customer base. The sandwich costs a bit of money and was worth it, but the last two times it wasn't worth a $5 bill. The other dishes around the restaurant appeared to have appropriate portion sizes, so why skimp so hard on the Bánh mì?! Until I hear otherwise, I'll stay away. There's another Bánh mì place opening on Mendocino where the old Subway used to be, will see how they are and hope they actually feed me. I left not feeling fed at all, but still giving the...
