I have unfortunately experienced nothing but problems with the Meijer pickup at Sault Ste. Marie Meijer. A variety of issues ranging from horrid customer service to website issues to missing items to being overcharged. I've wasted so much time having to fix so many mistakes. The amount of money I would have lost over the past few years had I not taken screenshots of my orders as proof and taken the time to go through each order both the items and the receipt is appalling. It had been months since I had placed an order, but received a $15 off $50 coupon in mPerks for a pickup order. So, I gave it a shot and ordered a $52.99 item I needed that showed in checkout as coming to $37.99 (for reference the same items is $39.98 at Walmart, so I was only getting it from Meijer because of the coupon that made it a couple dollars cheaper) with the $15 coupon showing it was applied. Picked up my order and thought to double check and turns out I was charged $47.74. I called customer care and the local store, neither of which would do anything to rectify the situation. At the local store, I spoke with an employee named James who was downright rude and was quite glad when I reached the point in our conversation to say I would just have to return for a full refund if the issue could not be fixed (as I don't live nearby and it's a waste of gas money to have to drive back to the store) and not shop at...

We ordered a cake for our daughter's wedding dinner at home and the first cake was beautiful but was not what my wife thought she conveyed when she made the order. She was a little disappointed because she envisioned a dual tier cake and what we got was a single tier cake.
After speaking with Dawn and the manager we were able to get a new cake to pick up the day after which is the cake pictured. My wife was thrilled and extremely pleased with the cake. I was thrilled because it is a wonderful cake and happy wife means happy life lol.
Meijers bakery did every right thing to make sure we were happy and the cake was perfect. We have ordered a few cakes from meijers and we will continue to do so.
I'd just like to stress how professional both Dawn and the manager were. Absolutely top tier customer service! Very pleasant to speak with both of them. And to make things right as quickly as they did was amazing! This might sound weird but I gave them both hugs because how great they were!
Just remember: Working in customer service with the public can be extremely challenging. Your going to get what you give. Screaming and going crazy wouldn't have solved this any better or faster. Just remember to treat people...
Read moreThe employees are wonderful! However the "system" is cheating people repeatedly. The Kevita kombucha was marked in the isle as $2.99 for weeks but the register charged $3.09. I received the change back the few times I brought it to their attention and finally they said we have to fix this. The next time I purchased this product the price was $3.19 but they had a deal, two and get one free. I purchased 4 with two free. I was charged for 4 Kevita and got two free and was charged for one kombucha. When I brought it to their attention and after much discussion they gave me $1.06 back. I should have said that is okay, keep your $1.06 and I'll take the extra bottle I paid for. I feel bad for people who can't afford this deception, out right stealing, or anyone who never checks their receipt to be sure they are charged correctly. It's only pennies and dollars per person but it's millions of people even if it only happens here in Sault STE...
