I wish this was a better experience. The 2 stars is due to the strength of the movie (mainly because most of it was on the screen). The movie was Dragon Ball Super: Broly AMC 11 considered this to be a "Special Event" film. It dang sure wasnt treated as such on Saturday January 16th @ 4p. Im in sales and I work 50+ hours during the week and I finally got a weekend off. I was able to take my 4 sons to the movies for the first time in over a year. I bought the tickets in advance ($80 for 5 tickets) to ensure I would be able to actually make good on the promise I made months ago when we learned it would be showing within 40 miles of where we live. We get there early so that we can sit together and hit the concession stand ($53 for 1 bucket of popcorn and 4 drinks). We're excited and ready to enjoy some family time at the movies. We take our seats together and the movie starts almost 15 mins late. That would have been acceptable, except for when the film starts rolling the projection is very very noticably larger than the screen this "Special Event" was being shown in. That makes parts of the scenes unviewable. This was an expensive outing, over $130 for less than 2 hours. I would expect AMC to do better than this. A large format film shown on a small screen. This is no way to treat any audience who spends their hard earned money and limited free time. I should have been able to enjoy seeing the entire movie I paid for. I was not given the product I paid for, the value did not outweigh the price in this situation. Not sure what can be done now, just know that if you are reading this, and watching the movie in theatre #2 be forewarned. AMC I wish I hadnt had this experience. Im sharing pics of the screen. For those that may feel this is an acceptable viewing display I want you to consider this. If you paid for a pizza, would you be ok if you open the box and find that the sides were cut off and inedible. Or you buy a book and the first and last chapter are missing. Or you buy a new car and I keep your front and rear bumper. Being able to enjoy 80% of what you paid 100%+ for...
Read moreHorrible theatre experience. The staff clearly doesn't care about their job or customer service. Popcorn was burned and stale. No one smiled or acted friendly at all. The movie times posted outside were not correct and there was no sign to indicate this. We walked into the theatre an hour early and just had to sit and wait because the posted times were wrong (said 1pm, but movie didn't start til 1:50pm), and when I spoke to a crew member and a manager they didn't seem to care and acted like I should have known the screen outside was wrong. Very rude. Why even have that screen ON if its not working properly??? At least put a sign out directing you inside for times. The crew could have confirmed the time at time of purchase knowing the screen was wrong outside. So my family was stuck sitting in an empty theatre staring at a blank wall for 40min because they didn't even have the slideshow ads and trivia running like they are supposed to before the show. When the movie did start, it wasn't framed properly either. Just a tiny image, with blurred sides and bottom with a ton of blank space all around. And the worst part, the auditorium stunk like MOLD! So we all left with headaches and feeling sick. Don't come here. It's disgusting and no one here cares about anything. What was supposed to be a nice treat for my family ended up being a waste of $135 after tickets and...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at your theater. On June I purchased tickets for my family and I to see a movie at your Savannah location. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the theater, we were informed that the movie was cancelled due to a power outage and the theater was closed.
Assuming that the cancellation was an unusual circumstance, we decided to purchase new tickets for another day, expecting a refund for the original tickets since we did not get to see the movie. However, when we contacted your management and corporate offices to request a refund, we were met with refusal.
I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, but I am shocked by the lack of professionalism and customer service displayed by your staff and management. The experience was further marred by the uncleanliness of the theater, rude staff, and a general lack of brightness and welcoming atmosphere.
As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and respect. In this case, I feel that I was taken advantage of and left with a bad taste in my mouth. They refuse to give me a refund. This its by far the worst customer...
