This review took me a while to write because honestly, I was slightly traumatized by the experience. Its the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I went in to get a root smudge and not only was the color way darker than what I wanted, but there were two quarter sized dark spots & one smaller one lower in my hair where the color had fallen during the sloppy application. The stylist was very apologetic and I understand that people make mistakes. When another stylist came over and they were explaining how they could fix it with low lights. I was explaining that I didn't want to cover it up. I wanted it removed. My stylist suggested that I just didn't understand the terminology which felt condescending to me, so I said Im not stupid, I understand what you're saying, and once again, asked them to respect that I wanted it removed not just blended in with lowlights. Apparently, that was disrespectful because when I left (with my hair looking slightly worse & more damaged than when I came in) I asked if I was still being charged and my stylist said no of course not and the other stylist said yes the owner said we still have to charge you. So I asked to speak with the owner, and she yelled at me for offending the other stylist. I was shocked so I asked the other stylist if I offended her and she basically said that she was pregnant and emotional and that people often call them stupid and I asked her if I ever called her stupid and she said you said I'm not stupid and I was like exactly I'm not stupid. I understand the terminology you're using with me. Defending my own intelligence is not insulting yours. but I still apologized to her that the comment hurt your feelings because I can relate to feeling like people minimize your intelligence based on superficial things. Which is why I defended myself when it felt like they were talking down to me. I was not cruel. I was not disrespectful. They completely messed up my hair and I actually think I handled it pretty well considering. My issue is not even with the stylist. People get overwhelmed. People make mistakes. I'm a pretty forgiving person but the way that the owner treated me was egregious. I did not deserve to be yelled at. The owner threatened to call the police, which is insane since I was just discussing my experience at her salon. I can only imagine how she would've felt & reacted if I spoke to her the way that she spoke to me. I ended up paying for a money piece, which was way too small and overprocessed because they left the bleach in too long because they were busy removing the mistakes. But at that point, I just wanted to be done with the situation. My only regret is that I didn't take pictures, but at the time my stylist was so apologetic & clearly felt bad so I didn't want make her feel worse. This is just my opinion based on my experience. I genuinely hope this was just an off day, but I wouldn't recommend this salon to my...
Read moreI have only ever written 1 other review in my life. I felt this was necessary bc this was the worst haircut I ever had in my life. I honestly shouldnât have paid and made a next appointment. My bangs were really uneven and the stylist only did layers in the back of my head? When I got in my car I looked at it further. When I pulled my hair back a larger chunk of bangs were cut on the left side than on the right. I cried on my way home. I called another salon and they got me in same day and fixed it. The stylist at the salon that fixed my said she honestly thinks that the lady that first cut my hair didnât have any idea what she was doing bc if she had cross checked my bangs she would have seen they were horribly uneven. She also said that she wasnât really sure what she was doing with my layers. They were only in the back of my head. None on the sides and they werenât even blended properly. She said if it where her she would go back and demand a refund. Honestly I should have. I do not like confrontation so I just left. But please beware when you are making an appointment. I will attach pictures of how uneven...
Read moreThis past week something rather âbraveâand extra ordinary happened there as I had my hair colored and cut. The beautiful young lady who dyed my hair and has done so more than once could not quite grasp the 1960-âs short cut that I was after and soon realized that and soon gave over the cut to another beautiful woman. That realizations alone made her grown in my eyes. Itâs not easy to admit you donât have all methods of cuts under your belt. Itâs not easy to admit that you prefer and are better at some other kinds of cuts. As a result ⌠I left there with the most awesome hair in Savannah! Between them they nailed it! So proud of their team work. So happy with my color/highlights and cut. See you all soon! Hugs ...
