When I give my reviews, I try to be fair and I like to support local businesses. However, when it comes to bad customer service, I will speak up. I don’t want someone else to experience the same bad service. Also I always hope that that business will learn something and improve their practices or service.
See below how it went in this massage place:
The massage therapist was on the phone while giving the massage. That right there rob us from the whole experience. In addition, I understand how important are boundaries in massage therapy centers on respect and safety. I am a massage therapist also. My massage experience comes from studying and working in California and Hawaii.
Definitely Personal space and well-being are so important. creating a relaxing environment is a key and essential for therapeutic effectiveness. This did not happened in there. It became inappropriate and awkward at some point.
If you are looking for a sensual and a little bit more exotic experience. I believe this is the place to go. But not for us.
There was no professionalism when we were there. As a massage therapist I clearly understand the guidelines that dictate how therapists should interact with their clients to maintain a professional and therapeutic relationship. These guidelines help prevent misunderstandings. Also helps to focus on the wellness and healing part of the massage. But again that did not happened in there.
Moreover, While getting the foot/legs massage there was a lot of noise because the business is in front of a fast food and other business. A lot of traffic in and out. The good part it is parking available.
Overall was a really bad experienced. I will not recommended. But again this was only my experience! Maybe you have a better experience than we did.
Spa bliss downtown Savannah is amazing. I will continued going there.
I’m super disappointed if these experienced. The decor not so therapeutic. Again, this was just our...
Read moreI booked a one hour foot and lower leg massage. I have gotten massages there before which were okay, but this experience was borderline awful. The chairs have gotten grimy and the towel covering part of the chair was filthy. When I asked for a fresh towel, the massage therapist seemed annoyed with me. After putting a fresh towel on the chair, the massage therapist gave me an uninspired and basically bad massages. About 80% of the time the massage therapist just rubbed up and down my lower legs. When she did work on my feet she mostly scraped the soles of my feet with her knuckles. She also kept looking at her phone, which was on the floor, and touching her phone. Each time she bent down, she took one hand off my leg, and put pressure on my leg with the other hand, which felt jarring. When I finally ask her to stop using her phone, she put the phone onto the ottoman and told me she was looking at the time - although there is a clock in the room. Not sure why a massage therapist needs to check the time dozens of times during a 40-minute massage session.
The last 20 minutes were supposed to be spent on arms, neck and face. I got up before she could work on my arms or neck. I did not want that kind of half-hearted, unprofessional work anywhere near my neck and face.
And, yes I paid and I left a tip....
Read moreFor perspective, I get regular massages in the 3 states I've lived in. I am visiting Savannah and my shoulder is bothering me. I came to Daily Massage, got an older lady and pretty much minutes into it, I knew she didn't know what she was doing, didn't speak English either. It was like being rubbed roughly for 45 min. I asked her to put more pressure by saying every adjectives closest to "stronger", "harder" and she would just laugh awkwardly, put more pressure for a few minutes then went back to rubbing me. I had to show her where and how to massage me. I initially asked for one hour massage but I just couldn't take it anymore. It's so agitating to have to give instructions the whole time, not to mention the room is cold and she didn't make any effort to cover me up when I told her that it's cold. So enough is enough. They charged me $50 for 45 min while the price list shows $30 for 30 min and $60 for 60 min. So now I'm out $53, my shoulder still bothers me, and I'm the opposite of relaxed. I definitely cannot recommend this place, terrible experience from...
