Dillard's — Local services in Savannah

I felt the need to share this. Since Savannah Mall Closed, customers are under the impression that Dillards Department Store close too. But Dillards’s although is attached to the mall, it owns its own building. I don’t know when they are going to bring back the mall, but I know Dillards still open and is doing great business.

I love that Dillards is a high end one stop store. Been a smaller store it only has Lancôme, Estée Lauder beauty counters. Then you have the shoes department (men, women and kids). It has its own area for suits and the men department is huge. It has children clothes, women clothes.Then the home department! Right now they have the holiday trees in display! I can’t decide which is my favorite area!!! accessories and Fragrance, shoes and all! Last but not least I can’t get over the designer handbags and sun glasses. All recognize brands. But, just know that they don’t sell celebrity brands!

Customer service is great too. If I want the latest brands or if I have a special occasion to go to, this is my store where I shop. I don’t have time to drive every where trying to find what I need. Everything I can find is in there. I’m obsess with Dillards!

Also, no one will imagine that they also have a beauty salon in the second level. I’m telling you that is a one stop store.

Don’t miss the Prom season fashion show. Dillards have gorgeous dresses for Prom and for different occasions! (See pictures below). It also has a kids fashion show. Customers volunteer as models for these events!

This is not a discounted store, but Make sure you stay up to date when they have their brand merchandise at 40 or 65 percent off! Seasonal! I bought so many shoes when they were on sale! They were like $35 Dillards’s for a designer’s pair of shoes.

And since now I live in Savannah I need high end bathing suits and beach items. When the season comes you will find gorgeous bathing suits and towels in there too!

The store was beautiful as all Dillard's are. I found all this with ease ; and they had black Spanx. However, the manager for the Women's clothing upstairs-Matthew or Josha (cannot recall his name) spoke to me in a condescending manner. I located a black & white striped Calvin Klein dress on the additional 65% off rack. It was the only one left. I wanted the dress for the additional 65% percent off , but the dress was ringing only 45% percent off. As I stood there waiting on a response from manager Matthew (manager): he looked up the purchasing inventory history of the dress for their store, what they sold for and when they sold He then informed me the last couple sold sold a month ago to date at $53.00 and he was confident this remaining dress would sale for the same price. I thanked him and asked where the downward escalator was located (as I was visiting from Greenville, SC and had never been in this store before) he pointed and I left 2nd floor. Normally I don’t do these reviews unless two reasons. One, I had a bad experience or two, I had a really AMAZING experience. Yesterday, I visited Dillard’s in Savannah Mall and I came across an employee by the name of “Jimmy” while I was looking through sunglasses. Even though, I didn’t purchase any sunglasses, I want to take the time to makes this review about the employee. When I tell you this man was so professional, energetic and well updated on his knowledge of fashion and trends that it blew my mind. He was very comical as well and it seem like I knew this man for years. He offered a lot of advice and suggested a lot of things too. Overall, my experience was impeccable honestly because of Jimmy and as I stated I will definitely be back to personally shop with my new personal shopper friend Jimmy. If ever you shopping in Savannah Mall, stop through Dillard’s and ask for Jimmy and experience him for yourself! Dillard you done a fine job with this employee, he definitely deserves...
