I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hawker Hobby, and I can't express how impressed I am with the service and expertise provided by the owner Jeremy. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer.
First and foremost, Jeremy took the time to personally guide me through various model building techniques. His knowledge and passion for the hobby were evident as he shared insights and even showcased examples of his own builds displayed in the shop. It's clear that Hawker Hobby isn't just a store but a hub for hobbyist to learn, share, and grow their skills.
What sets Hawker Hobby apart is their commitment to customer satisfaction. Unlike online purchases where you're often left to figure things out on your own, Jeremy stands behind his products and offers invaluable support every step of the way.
There's something special about visiting a brick and mortar hobby shop. Beyond the convenience of browsing products in person, it fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among fellow hobbyists. It's a place where you can connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and even collaborate on projects.
In today's digital age, the importance of establishments like Hawker Hobby cannot be overstated. They provide not only quality products but also invaluable expertise and personalized service that simply can't be replicated online. Supporting local businesses like this one is essential for preserving the essence of hobby culture and ensuring its continuation for generations to come.
Although this was my first visit, my experience at Hawker Hobby was nothing short of exceptional. The owner's dedication, knowledge, and genuine passion for the hobby make it a must-visit destination for enthusiasts of all levels. I wholeheartedly recommend Hawker Hobby to anyone looking for a top-notch experience and look forward to my (many) next visit(s)! After all, I will be needing to stock up on some model building equipment after a long hiatus...
Read moreTruly my favorite hobby shop! Hawker Hobbies has a broad selection of inventory. From model trains to tabletop wargaming to backyard rockets to japanese giant robots.
I'm a wargaming enthusiast (Warhammer 40k/Killteam) and after recently moving back into the local area, I went here to get an airbrush and compressor a few months back. The shops owner, Mr.Petersen, showed me two different airbrush setups he offered, and after giving me advice on which one to pick based off my modeling requirements, mentored me on how to operate and maintain the device, aswell as providing me with tips on how to paint better with it aswell.
Mr.Petersen, is a subject matter expert on trains, painting & modeling, modern military history, and a whole heap of alot more! He is a gentleman with an awesome personality, a vast sense of creativity, and sharp sense of humor. He also has enthusiasm for the projects of those who visit the store (He has given me lots of inspiration on my Warhammer 40k Ork army...
Read moreMy opinion is not based on their products, this is strictly against their extremely rude employee. I was there for the entire interaction. There was no screaming, not even a raised voice. We already found the "non existent" part at another shop so thank for that suggestion. It's strange that you can say this part doesn't exist when you couldn't even tell us anything without the "train Dr" looking at it. At some point, you need to take responsibility for your bad attitude instead of responding with blanant lies and throwing a tantrum on a review
I would actually love to see that footage. It would show at no point did he scream or demand. It would show a customer trying to have a conversation with an employee who was clearly not interested. You cannot simply make things up to fit a scenario to make you look victimized. The footage would be very eye-opening because it would show how your awful...
