Edit… I don’t know what changed. But I have been back twice since my post. Each time my tacos were full portions, like they were a year ago. I was able to make two tacos out of them. I may start ordering extra tortillas and potato egg piratas again! I don’t normally eat fast food. But I eat here 3-4 times a month. Sometimes more. This is my favorite place for breakfast tacos. The chips inside are great also. I don’t know what they do to their tortillas, but I absolutely love them. Its the closest to making them at home and frying them. Next time I go, I will get the name of the young man at the counter. He’s awesome!
Previous post… The taste is still good. The portions have gone down hill. Especially charging $6.09 for pirata and $2.79 for potatoes with a tiny bit of egg. This time I actually got more eggs. But still a small taco. It didn’t fill a 5 year old up. I let it go several times. Then I called and let them know. They said the manager made my tacos. I decided to go in, right then. So they could see all of the tacos before I opened them. The young man at the counter made a shocked face. And had them fixed. This was a previous order a month or two ago. Today they gave us a tortilla folded in half with cheese. And called it a quesadilla. For $3.79. I hope something is done about this. Or get new management. Because the current manager is not fixing the problem. The New Braunfels store is getting...
Read moreThey couldn’t even get a chicken enchilada order right. No sour cream, but you pay extra for it. No tortillas like I asked and paid for. You get nickle and dimed, for nothing.
Then, you can't call the store because their phone number is a DEAD line that beeps. This alone is why you shouldnt go because if it is wrong, you have no way of reaching out. I did email them, but we will see how many weeks that takes to hear back. I’m seeking a refund at this point I couldn’t even eat the food.
Also, the chicken food was disgusting regardless. The chicken was concerning. The color was odd, perhaps not cooked properly? The texture is all wrong too. The chicken is largely clumped and not actually shredded. It’s just awful. Then when you do dine in person, it takes awhile to even get a server to acknowledge you. They will make eye contact, and not even do a thing. If they are busy I get it, but tell me you will be right with me or something?
Edit: The store did issue me a refund and contacted management to make the expierence better. I have alot of respect for this as many places ignore bad feedback. So I’ll give them another go eventually after they’ve had some time. When they responded it seemed like they actually did care so I am...
Read moreUpdate! After I posted my original review,(see below) I received a response from management, requesting that I email them. A few weeks after I sent an email, I received a very nice phone call from management, apologizing for my experience and I was offered a combo plate. She emailed me a code that I took to the restaurant. Inside, not the drive through, per her instructions. I ordered the chicken fajita plate with flour tortillas. It came with rice, refried beans, lettuce, a huge scoop of guacamole, grilled onions and 3 tortilla! This time the chicken WAS NOT dry. Everything was delicious! The cashier was unsure how to use the code on the email, but she took a picture of the email and offered me two small bags of hot, salted tortilla chips! This is what I call perfect service! Because of management being so caring, I will definitely be returning!
This was my first visit! Ordered street tacos (chicken) with guacamole, and cilantro. I went through the drive thru. It didn't take long to place my order but I was asked to pull up to section 1, while my order was being made. Overall the meal was ok, but my chicken was really really dry. It came with a side of beans. The beans were delicious....
