Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Schertz

Nothing to do with the cashier. All about food prep/quality. Went in this evening, because Wingstop wasn't accepting orders due to the Super Bowl. This is a fairly new location. Ordered a 4pc Boneless & Fry w/fries, a 6pc Classic Wings, and One Combo Meal-Large Teriyaki w/fries and Reg Icee. $35.24. I understand that prices have to go up, but at least give us quality food and a little more substance! Neither of which was received this evening. The classic wings were the worst I've ever purchased anywhere. No meat whatsoever. Nothing to bite into except the skin. Also, looked like they refried them. The chicken had that gray (old) color. The 4 tiny boneless wings were dry and greasy. The sandwich was dry, and lacking the Teriyaki part. I'd say a 2/5 for sandwich to give them the benefit of the doubt. Don't recommend. I ordered three sandwiches, with fries, they made the sandwiches and looking all hot and fresh. Then left the open containers on the counter, and THEN dropped fries. So the food sat there getting cold and soggy while the fries cooked. The picture here is the old school cheese steak, where's are the onions? Then I got about 10-12 fries that are too salty to eat for $3!!?? What a waste of money. 1st and last visit to a Charley's. Also, all of the tables were dirty. It's OK, $15 for a cheesesteak and small fry. Cheesesteak was nowhere near some of the best I have had. The claim of "#1" or "worlds best" is a lot to live up to. Unfortunately Charley could not live up to it but few can. It wasn't horrible though. Replace the lettuce and tomato with mushrooms and onions and you can't lose. The fries were an unusually small portion but I dont need a lot anyway. Service was great. Offered ketchup and asked if I needed anything else. Not much but that's all it takes. Good kid...
