So I take my car seats to this place twice. Both times he's left earlier than the time it states on Google. Finally, I'm able to reach him and he said bring the seats in and that he has to see them. Let me just say, I'm switching seat covers in my car for a different color. The seat covers I'm bringing in are mine. Nothing is being made, just putting new seat covers on my original seats, two bucket seats. So we looked at the covers I brought and looked at the seat inside his shop, then he told me 450.00 each! That's right 450.00 to put a seat cover on one seat. Not both!! I told him, you're not making the seat covers, just putting the ones I brought you. Then he said 350.00 per seat. Is this crazy? He still wanted 700.00. Just to put two seat covers on. I just laughed and said this is ridiculous.(He wouldn't pay this himself). Why over charge people based on the car the seats came out of? I have years of experience with upholstery, but while serving in the Army I got rid of all my equipment. I needed two small cushions remade. I had already bought and cut the material, I even brought the thread. The only thing I needed was stitching. that is a simple thirty minute task for any professional in the business. He offered to do it for $180.00!!! I know from experience that a fair price will be $20-25 each. when I expressed my calmed surprise he informed me I could take it down the street to another shop. Brought in something that needed stitching. About three feet of of material that needed to be stitched together and he said he’d have to replace one of the part of material despite it not being damaged and said it would be $300. Also the workers were talking bad about me in Spanish then when they found out I spoke Spanish they didn’t care or act surprised.
