The Hidden Grove — Restaurant in Schertz

Over the past few years I’ve watched the bar scene continue to grow in the Schertz/Cibolo area. There’s a lot of nice places to chose from and they all have their own unique theme and feel. With that being said there is one spot that stands out amongst the rest and for me it’s Hidden Grove. From the set up, to the drink selection everything is top tier. However what sets it apart from not only the bars in the immediate area but also San Antonio as a whole is the energy..and that starts and ends with the bartenders. In particular Angel! There’s a lot of amazing bartenders in every city you go to but she’s just got that unique trait that you can’t teach that makes people want to stay longer and keep coming back. She’s a huge asset. The ownership is professional and you can tell they genuinely care not only about running a successful business but also the customers. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a regular, everyone makes you feel right at home. If you live in the area or are visiting you need to check this place out! Drinks were so wrong because the drink pourer (not a trained tender) was so high. She proceeded to pour liquor down her leg before it made it to the cup. . our Long Island had no cola. Our pineapple jalapeño marg was a lemon aide with splash of tequila. The tequila sunrise was all rise no sun. When I took it in the girl was more worried about hovering in the back to hit that pen. I asked her to fix it she was so unable to process so she poured some sprite and added an orange slice I said “hey this needs orange juice” she said I did I said no that’s sprite… “ she pushed the cup back to me the tequila & cherry with sprite. And the old fashion was a cup of ice with a small drink. … not coming back and didn’t finish our drinks .. wanted our money back but she would be unable to...

Great area! Music isn’t too loud that you can’t talk with your friends but loud enough you can still enjoy it and I really liked that. They have the juke app so you can play your own music choices also but they play their own music also, so there’s never just silence inside/outside.
