I booked a motherâdaughter nail appointment (kids manicure for my daughter and a regular manicure for me) for Saturday. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing for several reasons.
When we got there, I noticed my appointment was marked down as a gel manicure, even though I had specifically asked for regular polish. I corrected it, and they said it was fine. My daughter had found some cute inspo pics for her nails and asked the tech if she could do something similar. At first, the tech said sheâd need to get a gel manicure, or the charms would fall off. I explained that we werenât doing gel (sheâs too young), and the tech agreed to try her best with regular polish.
The owner started my manicure but said she couldnât see well and passed me off to another tech for the nail polish. Once I was done, my daughter got passed around between two different techs and had to explain her nail design to both. There were long gaps of waiting in between, as they were short-staffed and missing one technician that day. Altogether, the appointment took close to two hours.
The nail tech did try to accommodate my daughterâs request and actually made the nail art look cuteâmy daughter was happy with the design.
The cost for what we received:
My manicure: $25 My daughterâs: $40 â which included $15 for the kids manicure (they only filed her nails, no cuticle push or hand cream), $5 for nail art, and an unexplained $20 extra With a 20% tip, we paid $78
Unfortunately, both of our nail polish started chipping that same evening. By the next day, most of my polish had popped off completelyâlike press-on nails. Iâve never seen anything like it. My daughterâs polish didnât last either. By day two, her nail polish was entirely gone. Just to clarify, we werenât doing anything that would cause early chippingâjust regular hand washing. Whatever polish they used seemed very low quality. Iâve had regular manis before that have lasted me at least a week.
I called the salon on Monday to express our disappointment and spoke with a tech (who wasnât there on the day of our appointment). I explained we were unhappy with the manis since the polish did not even last 24 hours. She took my name and number and said the owner would call me back. This was two days ago, and I never heard from herânot even an apology.
I also want to mention that while we were there, I noticed a couple of things that seemed unprofessional. At one point, the owner started rubbing essential oil all over her own legs, feet, and between her toesâbarehandedâand I didnât see her wash her hands after. In addition, while I was getting my nail polish, one of the techs came out from the back mid-service asking the other tech for eyebrow scissors, and it sounded like they were being kept in a room with peopleâs personal items, which didnât feel very sanitary.
Overall: This experience was unprofessional, overpriced, and disappointing. The lack of quality and customer care was unacceptable. Iâve attached photos taken on Monday, showing the chipped polish less than 48 hours later. I would not recommend Creative Nail Salon to anyone unless certain...

Read moreI honestly never leave bad reviews because I hate being that person, but my experience was bad enough that I feel like I need to share. I got a dip manicure from creative nails and spa a few days ago and it was by far the worst experience I have ever had. First, it took the guy 2 and a half hours to do my dip manicure. How is that even possible? Beats me. You would expect with that amount of time it would look perfect, right?! WRONG. It was by far the worst manicure I have ever had. He cut all my nails down to basically stubs, he got the polish everywhere but my nails, and where it was on my nails it was completely splotchy with parts of my nail left untouched. He made me bleed 3 times. I wish I would have taken a picture of how bad my nails looked before I took the polish off, but it was so bad that I took it off right when I got home. Even the woman checking me out at the nail salon noticed how bad they looked and asked if I had time to let her fix them. I was going on almost 3 hours of being there, so no, I did not stay longer to have her fix them. I left. Even after all of that, they still charged me $60 for my âdip manicure.â Unbelievable. By far the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. They werenât even busy at all when I was there either. I would never...
