My wedding ring was purchased in Boston, so I haven't had a jeweler to take my ring to the entire time we've been married (11 years!) because we've always lived in the valley.  I have needed to take my ring in for an appraisal for years so we can have it insured, but have been hesitant to leave something so valuable with just anyone.

A few of my prongs started to show wear and tear and I became really nervous about losing the main stone, so I began researching jewelers.

After reading numerous reviews, it was clear that Oliver Smith was where I should take my ring.  The reviews were overwhelmingly great, and reviews I read on many other jewelers actually said to come here instead!

I have to say, all of the reviews were correct and I am so happy I entrusted Oliver Smith with my ring.  When I walked in, the staff was friendly and I immediately felt at ease and knew I had made the right decision on where to leave my ring.

Not only were they able to fix the prongs in a flawless manner, they also turned the (very detailed) appraisal around super quickly!  They quoted two weeks, but it was done in about 5 days.

In addition, although I clean my ring at home... wow! What a difference when a jewelry store does it. When I picked it up it was as sparkly and beautiful as the day I got it.  I guess over time I had forgotten how it was supposed to look.  They told me to pop in whenever for a cleaning, which I really appreciate.

I will definitely be back in the future for some other jewelry needs and feel relieved to have found a jeweler in the valley I can absolutely trust....

At first I was intimidated by the upscale location and ambiance of the place, but I needn't have worried. The staff is very professional, friendly and courteous. I'm not a high stakes player, but I was treated like one! Bill's eyes met mine as soon as I walked in. Even though he was busy with another customer, he made me feel that my business was valued. After telling Bill what I needed, Rodney came out to meed me! I got the feeling that Rodney treats each piece of jewelry with extreme care. He is an artist and has enjoyed working at OSJ. I was really surprised to meet the technician who would care for my beloved jewelry. Marissa offered to clean the pieces I was wearing and she offered me water or coffee. She even made me a cup!! Carrine set to work on doing an appraisal for me. I must admit, I am easily intimidated but at OSJ, I needn't have feared. The staff is like a little family and now I feel a part of it. Elizabeth and George are incredible to work with, and they will both work with you to find the perfect piece, whether it is a new watch, a pre-owned watch, or some jewelry.

I have to especially call out Elizabeth and her ability to listen, ask questions, and then make recommendations on what I may be looking for. I have bought several watches through them, and even though I often ask a lot of questions, she is always available to give me her thoughts and opinions. She is like my friend, and has always had great ideas on what I might want, even when I am not really sure what it is I want.

I am already looking at purchasing several other pieces from OSJ in the coming months, and when the time comes, I know Elizabeth will be the ultimate go-to when looking for an engagement and wedding ring.
