Ad s guy that goes out for breakfast 2 times a week in the Phoenix metro...If I could give a -3 star I would. Frankly the food was ok, my GF had a mimosa flight, protein pancakes and egg whites. I had chicken and waffles and a coffee. The food/drinks where on par, but just on par, but not the issues.
They have a DJ inside blaring music at an unreasonable level. The replies from Hash Kitchen to other customers offering suggestions or comments on the loud music are usually met with "it's our unique upbeat atmosphere"...frankly it's so loud it simply damped the mood of everyone at our table. We are fun crowd that will generally be found making margaritas, old fashions and sipping wine on the weekend. We love to dance, attend concerts, hike and enjoy life. With that all said, the music was over the top loud. We had to shout at each other to converse. When we asked the waitress if the Music could Be turned down, she simply said, "they never will for anyone, I usually drive home on absolute silence to center myself". I honestly felt bad for the poor gal trying to make a living and forced to work in a night club environment while taking pancake orders. It's like everything about the place is fine, but the music ultimately ruined the experience for me. I work in a position where I'm forced to "read the room" and when I scanned around, there were very few tables that appeared to be having fun either. A few trendy young folks might like it, but honestly as a guy that has made my livelihood in retail, retail support and catering to the masses, this place just fell short and solely b/c of the music.
the waitresses where tired, lacking attention to our table, but did find us if we flagged her down. We were essentially ignored for the first 10 mins.
BTW- you can eat outside if you'd like to escape the blaring music, but since it wad 105f in the afternoon when I was there, that wasn't an option.
I would recommend First Watch, Biscuits, Butters, The Original Pancake house, Heck...Cracker Barrel is in better touch with a enjoyable dining experience for breakfast. I'm...

And that was about where the positive experience ended. First disappointment was there wasn't any fresh squeezed OJ available. Ordered a cappuccino and a latte. Those took forever because the machine was "backed up". When the beverages arrived they were, well, yeah, nothing an italian would call what we ordered. Then the fun began. We ordered two brunch items. So did the tables around us. Their food arrived, they enjoyed and we were stuck watching. For over a half hour. I finally inquired about the food as we had an engagement we couldn't miss and time was ticking. Five more minutes passed until finally our server came asking if the manager had been by yet. Which was when the lady rushed up, offered two vouchers for some stuffed donuts and apologies for the kitchen being "backed up". As I don't do excessive carbs and sugar we declined the vouchers and asked her to bill the coffees as we needed to go. Within two minutes, no kidding, the first of our dishes arrived and another two minutes after that the second one. We ended up wolfing them down so they wouldn't go to waste and cause I didn't want to turn up to my appointment hangry. Quality of the food was okay though my veggie Omelett was a stretch for the price tag. After the whole incident we ended our visit on a friendly note as management had canceled our entire check. So, yeah, as mentioned it was a mixed experience and I dont think we'll be headed there again any time soon. We'd encourage some serious auditing of management at kitchen and overall...
Read moreThe only thing I'm mad about is the fact that we don't have a Hash Kitchen in Michigan! This place was SO fun! We came in on a Monday for brunch and there was only one other table, but I was ready to join the waitlist on their website! Right off the bat, the decor is SO fun. Love the bright and clean aesthetic. The walls are fun to read - my kids had fun reading all the sayings. The Bloody Bar right when you walk in, the DJ, disco ball... just puts you in a good mood! (note, this is not your quiet breakfast place - come here for fun and vibes!) I did not get the bloody bar, but OMG the toppings looked SO good. So impressed.
We started with the Cannoli Donuts. Get these. Just do it. They were heaven! I got the Chilaquiles because if they are on the menu, I have to. However, it was a tough choice because the whole menu looks amazing. I got the red and green sauce with these, and they were SO good. Def. recommend. One kiddo got the pancakes and the other got the kid's french toast. The french toast stole the carb show - they were thick and dense and insanely good. Hubby ordered the Chicken Tinga Scrambler - he was halfway through the plate when he realized he was given the Mexicana. Right as he realized it, the server brought out the correct meal and told him she realized the mistake and apologized. So, he got to eat half of the first one (which he did like, as well) and all of his ordered one - that he really liked, too. By the time we were leaving the place was getting full! Definitely a hoppin' spot. If we were in a city with a Hash Kitchen, I'd come back again! This time, bloody...
