We ate lunch at Lure once a few years back and while our food was good, our service was so poor I never thought we would return. It is Arizona Restaurant Week and our friends wanted to go so we gave it a try for dinner. My husband and I both chose off the Restaurant Week menu. I had the Autumn Harvest Chopped Salad with butternut squash, brussel sprouts, beets, cucumber, romaine, mesclun, tomatoes, olives, red onion, avocado, pepitas, manchego cheese, pomegranate seeds & jalapeño ranch which was excellent. My husband had the Lure charbroiled oysters, he said they were excellent. Our friends had the clam chowder and the same salad I had. They were both pleased with their choices. For our entrées, I had the seared scallops with mushroom risotto, it was very good but needed s&p, my husband had the pacific Rock fish with the Parmesan cake and sautéed spinach, it was excellent, our friends had the grilled jumbo shrimp which they enjoyed. For dessert, I had the pumpkin cheesecake, my husband had the key lime pie and our friends shared the blueberry cobbler, they were all good. Our service started out strong but then we had to look around and wave over our server to get more drinks then more salad dressing then to go containers and then for the check. What was a negative is the acoustics are so loud you have to repeat yourself or talk really loud to the people at the table. It wasn’t music just the talk of each table it made it hard to enjoy a dinner conversation. We don’t recall that an issue when having lunch. Even though the service was better it still wasn’t great but we would return because of the quality of food, we might just stick with lunch so we can have a...
Read moreI took my girlfriend here for her birthday 1/25/2024 and the dining experience was good but she had started feeling sick after only a few hours after leaving the restaurant. She ate the lobster ravioli. I called and spoke to the manager Justin, he made me aware of how many other people ordered her same dish and that we were the only ones to call about getting sick. Well maybe they don’t know why they are sick? But this is the only food we had to eat for dinner. He asked me how I came to the conclusion that their food was the cause of her illness. Well she had a nurse diagnose her with food poisoning, all the symptoms. They offered us a free meal for the bad experience but I declined the offer as we are not going to be returning. I would be cautious of eating here. I’m not sure if they are just not cleaning in between prepping the meals but this is seafood and they have to be extra careful with the food they put out. We enjoyed the atmosphere but due to the food poisoning we will not be returning. Read through the reviews, we are not the only ones stating the food is undercooked. I’m sure not everyone has this experience here but for those that do it really sucks. Especially because we were there to celebrate her birthday just so she can miss out on work due to getting food poisoning from this restaurant. I don’t even write reviews but this was worth my time to make customers aware of this restaurant as I would hate for another individual to have to go through...
Read moreTook my entire family out for a family dinner and My service was Christian he was absolutely the best person we could have asked for, we had 3 small children with us (my grandchildren) and him and his fellow servers were so friendly and helpful we felt like we were at home.
Service was a 10
I wanted oysters and I’m not much of a White wine guy but Christian recommended me a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, which was perfect repaired with my Bluepoint oysters. My Wife ordered the fish and chips extra crispy and they were delicious and perfect just the way she wanted them, my son basically ordered most of the menu since I was paying, he ordered linguine and clams, The crabcakes, he also ordered the climb chowder soup, Dungeness crab avocado, toast, he told me everything was delicious 😂 I’m glad he enjoyed them, my daughter ordered a cheeseburger and my I say it was also made beautifully, she offered me a bite so I took the bite and I have to say it was absolutely delicious with the raw onion.
When the check arrived and I seen the total I was surprised with how affordable this dinner actually was we even ordered some kind of blueberry Alamode the kids enjoyed. Very affordable I tipped above 40% because it was a night to remember.
Food was a perfect 10 out of 10
Atmosphere: they have this private room all the way in the back, which is perfect for my noisy family who has never had a day of etiquette school or training.
