Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary — Local services in Scottsdale

The spa is lovely as are those who work at the spa. I was able to move my manicure a bit later to accommodate our breakfast over at the Andaz restaurant. I was greeted warmly and taken back into the nail salon area quickly. The woman who did my manicure was very friendly. My husband treated me to a surprise stay at the Andaz for the weekend for my birthday. I mentioned this during the manicure so as I was leaving she offered me a complimentary glass of champagne.

I was disappointed they didn’t have gel polish so I settled for the regular polish available. I try to let professionals do their job without critiques assuming small things will eventually be fixed but every issue I noticed was never fixed and I unfortunately wound up with the worst manicure I’ve had. These pictures are taken immediately after leaving the spa. Mind you, this manicure cost $55 plus a required 20% gratuity 😳

Unaware of the separation between the Andaz resort and the spa, I had planned to request the charge for the manicure and gratuity be removed from our final bill. Because of the separation, the Andaz was not able to remove the charges for the manicure and gratuity. Unfortunately, I would have to recommend you go elsewhere for nail services.

Again, the people are lovely but I’m left with a pretty bad manicure 😕

TERRIFIC My wife and I spent the day enjoying all of the great amenities of the spa..A nice low key, high quality spa. Starting with a great 90 min couples massage, my therapist, Alena, was great with one of the best massages I have ever received working the tightness in my upper back and really hitting the real points in my legs! Dani is the best if you’re looking for a true deep tissue/therapeutic massage. I am so sore but have so much more mobility. She was super knowledgeable too! As for the facilities, they are immaculate! We spent the whole day between the pool/relaxation room and it was perfect. What surprised me most was how delicious the food and drinks were. We got Chipotle Garlic Hummus, which came with seasoned pita and veggies which was the perfect light meal before an intense massage.
