A review of other customer complaints reveals a pattern: numerous individuals have reported that Elements Massage makes it extremely difficult to cancel, obtain refunds, honor a price, or resolve billing disputes. Their lack of communication and failure to honor agreed-upon pricing raises serious concerns about their business practices. I took a chance even after reading those negative reviews, and now I'm experiencing the same thing:
My first visit to Elements Massage was positive enough to consider returning, especially since my initial massage therapist seemed inexperienced. However, they offer options to upgrade to a higher-tier therapist, which made me open to booking another session.
A few days later, I received a call from an employee offering a second massage for $59, which I agreed to. I also opted to upgrade to an "elite massage therapist" for an additional $10, bringing my total to $69. I confirmed this price with the employee before booking my next appointment.
Issues began when I decided to sign up for a membership. I specifically requested that the membership begin in April so that my March appointment would still be charged at the agreed-upon $69 rate. The employee acknowledged this and said they had my credit card on file from my previous visit. However, when they emailed me the contract, it still listed a March start date. I emailed them twice to request a correction before I would sign it, but I received no response.
Despite never signing the contract, I was charged for the membership on March 15 for the full $79. I attempted to contact them immediately but struggled to get through, and they wouldn't return my voicemails. After multiple attempts, I finally spoke to the same employee who had initially signed me up. She acknowledged the situation but stated that only a manager could issue a refund, and no manager was available on weekends.
At this point, I was informed that the original $59 deal I had been offered was not valid, and my fee for my appointment next week would actually be $79 afterall. I was NOT happy finding out I became a victim to a bait and switch. This was never disclosed to me prior to the charge, and I was not given the opportunity to approve or decline the fee at this higher price. When I requested to cancel my upcoming appointment, she confirmed the cancellation and told me a manager would contact me on Monday.
Despite multiple attempts to reach them on Monday when I didn't hear from the manager by late morning/noon—through phone calls, voicemails, and emails—I never received a response from management. Ultimately, I had to dispute the charge with my bank and cancel my card to prevent further unauthorized transactions.
If you are considering booking a massage here, proceed with caution—especially if you are offered a membership. Based on my experience and the experiences of others, this company does not prioritize customer service or operate with transparency. They need to be introduced...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed after my massage here. When i booked my appointmet the girl kept changing what times she had available.we finally decided on a time she tried to book it and said she was actually looking at the wrong week. So we went back and set it for another time.the next day. A few hours later I got a text confirmation for my appointment, but it was for a differnt time than i set up. I called them and they said that they couldnt fit me in now for the time I requested. So just booked it for a close spot. said I would like to just cancel the appointment cause of conflict. They said it was going to be a $45 charge for canceling 24 hrs before session. I said that was totally not fair since None of this was my fault. Said they would reschedule same day free. ~so i rearranged my schedule and made it work. When i arrived the front desk were both on the phone but a man from a room behind them came out said hello and went in the back. He came back outd me that my massage time was going to be another 20 min for some reason. The front desk were friendly, but it seemed they were trying too hard. After i completed the packet of forms I just wanted to relax and unwind before the session but the guy at the desk proceeded to ask me kind of intrusive questions. Like my plans for the night , and what interested me in massage. made me uncomfortable. Then the manager guy came out from behind the desk area and asked me questions the other guy did. Must be scripted. The environment and over all vibe was ok, but nothing exceptional. The water was warm and tasted bad and plus my room smelled a little funky. My therapist was good but didn't seem very knowledgeable or connected, Seemed off in her own world most time.I had to address an issue with the table headrest twice before she listened. After massage I felt better but didn't feel like I got much overall value from it. Went to desk for payment and they tried to have me sign up for the membership. I declined and they threw a few freebies at me. I said I would think it over if i came back . They wanted me to join today and said they could even waive a month payment. so I could get out of there I said the massage was great' and would call back to schedule. Found next day they double charged my card. I called to have credited and said manager would get back to me. What a headache. This Elements did exactly the opposite to my...
Read moreI was having an EXCRUCIATING head ache. My head felt like it was going to explode, my heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest and I was nauseous. Standing or sitting upright was even a challenge This was going on 24 hours of non stop pain. I tried calling 2 other facilities that I normally go to, but no appointments were available. One had recommended Elements because they are opened late. Called them right up and they got me in for a 1.5 hour massage. Not knowing the facility or the therapists, I will admit, I was skeptical if this was going to work. I was even planning on heading over to Urgent Care after. The receptionist (Amber) was so sweet, she saw how much pain I was in and she asked me to sit and she will bring the paperwork to me to explain. My turn was up!!! Therapist walked me into the room and asked what I would like him to focus on and what my problem area was. I was almost in tears as I explained to him how much pain I was in. He assessed the issues and understood quickly what he needed to do. I laid on that table and he started working his magic!!! I literally was feeling the difference as he was completing the quadrants. the side he worked on felt so much looser, lighter, almost limp compared to the tense side he was about to work on. He took ques very well without me having to say a word. He knew when to ease up on the pressure and he knew when he could go deeper. The 1.5 hour massage was up and was so afraid to stand up in fear that my head would start pounding again. IT DIDN'T AND IT WORKED!!! OMG..I was SO happy I gave him a BIG hug :) I will definitely be going back to Elements and booking with Jay!!! Thank you Jay for making me...
