King Star — Restaurant in Scranton

The delivery was fast and that was the only perk. All the food arrived cold. The chicken and broccoli had 4 pieces of chicken and barley any sauce. The sauce that was on there was solidified. Which means it had to have been sitting out awhile regardless of how fast the delivery was. Usually the food is piping hot. The egg roll was crunchy on the outside and completely mush on the inside. The steamed broccoli and chicken that we also got was also disappointing. The sauce tasted burnt and the chicken wasnt even edible. It was rubbery and had to spit it out. The driver when also delivering our food walked away with the 40$ I gave him. Our order was 21.26$. I had to ask for my change because he was about to walk away with the 40$. I called the restaurant to discuss my concerns. The woman on the phone asked what I wanted her to do about it. I said I would like a refund or fresh food. She said they couldn't do that. That they dont question the chefs, they dont get complaints, and that my delivery was fast so she doesnt know what happened. After getting no where with the discussion of the food, I stated that I will not be ordering from there again and she said "that's okay because you had fast delivery" and she stated for me to not order from there again....

Just buy pizza if you're wanting delivery. The Food here sucks and whoever just delivered my food seriously needs a reality check. My entire family has been evacuated from our homes due to a blizzard with 88mph winds that completely wrecked my town. Completely out of power, no heat, no hot water. And to top it off the delivery guy was basically scolding us upon arrival for not giving him a tip when we paid a delivery fee at checkout on grubhub. We did not make a massive order, nor did we ask him to jump through hoops. We simply ordered online and waited over a hour for our food to arrive.

Little heads up: Tips are not mandatory. I'm not giving you a tip for doing your job. Do you tip a doctor for saving lives? Nope... You deliver food. Maybe make some good food within a shorter amount of time (not a hour) and treat your customers with some respect and not whine like a child when you deliver their food because you're not getting a $3 tip. If people are undergoing an emergency you do not get to act like an immature child because you have the easiest job in the world. I don't care how bad you think...

Well, I've passed by this Chinese restaurant for years, but today I had to stop here to try their food. When I entered I was welcomed by a nice lady behing the counter. She couldn't be anymore accommodating. I ordered my favorite lunch special " chicken with broccoli " and I was hopeful that it would taste as good as a place I go to in South Scranton. The price was good around $7.50 with a can of soda.She even offered me a choice of a 2023 calendar for a gift. Back to the food, I opened the container and the food smelled really good. The rice was cooked good, and the chicken taste delicious. I would recommend this family restaurant as a go to in the Greenridge section of...
