Terrible customer service, and would give zero stars if I could.

My husband had a course booked through them that was part zoom, part field. He suffered a shoulder injury that does not allow him to partake in any physical activity. Despite having a doctor’s note, mountain madness did not allow for a reschedule or a reimbursement for the 550 dollar course.

I was shocked at the lack of flexibility from the company, not even allowing him to complete the zoom portion and allowing the field day to be made up the following season (they did recommend this but shared that he’d have to pay again!).

The customer service contact, Joe Sawyer, was pretty frustrating to speak with as well, and recommend hiring staff with at least a bit...

Every year I take my 3 son's on a climbing trip, and this year we went to Leavenworth, WA. I always use a guide because it limits the gear we have to travel with, and the local knowledge ensures we don't waste time looking for good routes. Plus the extra belayer helps us get more climbs in. This year I used Mountain Madness and it went great. Our guide Alex emailed with me prior to flying out to determine abilities and needs. He arrived at our meeting point on time and was easy to get along with. The routes Alex selected were right in our ability range and we made lots of ascents. Great day on the rock, I would use Mountain...

We hired Mountain Madness for a custom glacier tour on Mt. Baker in early August 2022. James Kan guided our family of 4 up to the Easton Glacier on Mt. Baker. We roped up and did a little glacier travel (as much as we were comfortable with!) and got up close and personal with a few crevasses. It was an amazing day. The lead-up to our trip was smooth and the Mountain Madness office was organized and professional. The main event was incredible, James is the best guide we've ever worked with on any of our adventures. We felt safe and confident due to James's expertise and personality. The day was special and we'll...

We just finished a three day alpine wilderness lake hiking trip with our guide James. This is one of the best hiking trip that we have ever been on. James is very personal and had tons of experience. She is also very good at cooking and surprised us with some delicious food. we cannot enjoy such a wonderful trip without his help. We also want to highlight that we have Max as a helper. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful too. We would like to come back next year for our next trip to Mount Baker. We would love to work with James again.❤️❤️❤️

My 16 year old son and his two friends just finished a wonderful introduction to glacier climbing with a trip up Mt Baker. Their guide Patrick gave them a comprehensive course on the rigor and joy of high altitude travel. Although tough on the body and soul the kids came back with a smile and a desire to do it again. They even enjoyed the food. When they decide to sign up for more we will be calling up Patrick and Mountain Madness for another round
