The Head Shop — Local services in Seattle

I’ve been seeing Martin since late high school to early college. From his days in Greenwood, Radar Hair and to the Head Shop. IMO the best barber in town. There are certain nuances that he takes into account when he cuts your hair; hair type, fade, length at top, thinning/balding, cowlick, crown, taper etc… These are things that are not all accounted for at a regular barbershop.

Side parts is what a lot of people have, but I’ve been getting this haircut from Martin since 2006 and I have photos to prove it. It all came from Johnny Bravo’s hair. Over the 15-16 years, Martin has gradually tweaked the cut based on what’s current and the development of my hair as I age.

Cut was alright but it took two hours...

Appointment for 5:30, confirmation text tell me be there at 5:25 I got there a couple minutes early. Didn’t even get in the chair till 6:15. Not sure why. Cut is simple: short on the sides, clean up the neck, trim a little off the top. I’m new to the area so still tryna find a good spot locally but it’s never taken more than 25-30 min in the past. I was in the chair for over an hour, didn’t walk out till almost 7:30... Maybe it was just my guy, the other barbers all seemed to do at least two cuts and clean up while I got mine.

I mean I had things to do but oh well... It’s a cool spot, but I can’t spend this long...

I scheduled a men's haircut. Had an appointment, but had to wait for my seat, which is fine as it wasn't a long wait. Hair cut was quick and easy. The shop was COVID friendly. Everyone was wearing a mask and hand sanitizer was available. Staff was nice, shop was clean and parking was easy.

First let me say I walked out of the shop with a good haircut. However, I did not spend much more than 30 minutes there and my hair cut was mostly all cut with clippers. Which again is totally fine. But the cost was close to $50. Way too expensive for what I received and again I am not complaining about quality. I will likely not return based on how expensive the cost of...
