I went here with a friend. I was very surprised as soon as I entered. It was not like a typical teriyaki place. The place was very clean and organized inside. The employee at the cash register very kindly helped us with our order from start to finish. We ordered the chicken bento box, 4th ave roll and spicy tantan ramen. The food was soooo good, I was especially surprised at how fresh the roll was. I had told my friend not to order a roll from a teriyaki place, but my friend was insistent on getting a roll so I just let it be. I was glad I did, since the roll was as good as eating at a Japanese restaurant. The ramen was also a delightful surprise, I personally love Japanese style ramen and I was very satisfied at the quality I was getting from a teriyaki place. Also, their complimentary Miso soup was very good, it tasted good and was perfect on cold days like nowadays. I really can't wait to go back. The service from the staff and the food is definitely...
Read moreWe ordered a chicken and shrimp katsu plate and spicy ramen.
Chicken katsu was very thin pieced strips, crisp and crunchy...but not much flavor. The fried shrimp is standard. Nothing of a wow factor.
Spicy ramen was very odd. I couldn't get past 5 bites. It didn't taste like traditional ramen. It tasted like a broth mix and assembled ingredients with bean sprouts...which i was thrown off by . It was not satisfying. If you're used to really delicious ramen from Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, you would not like this ramen. If you just want a quick noodle meal, it will satisfy you. But it didn't hit the ramen spot.
I hate leaving sad reviews but it's the experience.
Their bento boxes are $20+ here. I notice this area is very heavily priced, understandable for the location. But it was not worth it.
The positive is that the staff is very friendly and helpful. I might try their sushi or teriyaki dishes next time, those items seem...
Read moreService at first I thought was very friendly. The place was all but empty other than 2 people eating. While waiting, I noticed the kitchen and the girl working the counter started talking in Spanish. I guess they thought because I was white, I didn't know what they were saying. But I did catch bits and pieces. It wasn't until they started laughing as they were boxing my order that I started wondering what was up. Once I got home and looked at my chicken Yakisoba that I understood why they were laughing. It was because of how little chicken the put in all 3 meals. They split 1 chicken breast between 3 orders. At almost $65 for the meals I would have expected better. The chicken was dry. The yakisoba was your basic Ramon noodle with some veggies. I doubt I will be back. Picture included. This the amount of chicken that was in each meal. I only 1 bite before I...
