Before I tried this place, I wasn't a burger guy. Too many fast food joints slinging the same boring patties and toppings turned me off to the idea that you could get a good burger locally.
I can't emphasize enough how wrong I have been.
Burger Madness more than lives up to its name in taste, quality of service, and menu options.
The Spud is my go-to burger choice and I highly recommend this as the first one you try. It's the perfect mix of breakfast and lunch that you can get any time of day to satisfy a big appetite. If that's not your jam, there's more than enough diversity on the menu to appeal to anyone from spice lovers to classic enthusiasts.
The shakes are a perfect match for any burger on the menu, and while I default to the root beer most days because it's my personal favorite, I've tried almost every flavor available, and haven't been disappointed. If you're looking for lighter flavors, I find myself coming back to the peach, mint, or cherry.
With the side of fries, the meal combo 1 or 2 is a perfect amount of food to keep you full through a long day at work, or if you happened to miss breakfast on the way out the door. I think more than I should about skipping out on breakfast just to save room for a few extra fries at lunchtime.
The staff is incredibly friendly, recognizing most regulars by name and burger choice, and providing the best fry sauce you need to smother both the burgers and fries. This stuff keeps me up at night with cravings I can't explain, and often end up making plans for lunch the next day before I even go to bed the previous night.
The dining area is clean and well organized, with a great seating layout if you're by yourself, or with the whole family. While I haven't had the chops to try the burger challenge for myself, it's a unique way to create a community of burger lovers and give them recognition with a picture on the wall, and encourage others to test themselves against some of the legendary burger stacks they have available.
Before this place, I was just a sad burger boy who lost his way and thought the time of the burger had passed.
Now, I am a proud burger man who can't wait to ask people out to lunch, just to turn them on to the best burger joint I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It's honestly more of a burger residency at this point.
All I hope is that more people add this to their list of top lunch spots in the area, and they can keep making these delicious burgers for me and everyone else that's slowly succumbing to the...
Read moreGot a burger here with a friend today and although the cashier was very nice, it was difficult to figure out what to order considering there was no menu or prices anywhere aside from the gallery of burger options (no prices, just ingredients). As this was my first time here, it would have been nice to have a menu and prices. I ordered the sourdough burger of some sort with sweet potato fries, and the fries were pretty good, although I’m not sure they’re made in-house… that’s fine. With that said, I was pretty disappointed with the burger. The patty was flatter than a pancake, overcooked, and 100% grey to the point of having to be gnawed apart with each bite I took. Very unlike the patties I was seeing on the gallery wall and even here in the Google reviews. My friend was raving about her experiences here, so I imagine this might have been an unfortunate one-off. From all of the photos on the wall of customers, I’m a bit confused as to why my meal was significantly subpar. It seems like people love it here. I wish I had their experiences. After everything, I ended up spending $22 for a small side of fries, a rubbery, flavorless burger, and a ~$3 tip for the card reader that didn’t give me an option for “no tip”. I had to look up the total on my bank account since there was no signage to figure out how much I was going to be charged. Overall disappointed considering the praise I’m seeing in...
Read moreOrdered 2 shakes, tots and cheese sticks...
Shakes were fine, tasted good.
Tots tasted standard, but portion is pretty small for $5...
Cheese sticks were very disappointing, the seasoning on the sticks were simple but had an odd taste to them. The "marinara" was super runny and watery and the flavor tasted very off, not like a typical marinara sauce you'd get. And for $6.49 it was not worth it.
There was quite a bit of wait for our shakes. Almost 10 min after we got our sides. The cashier lady seemed clueless as to what was happening. But the cook apologized and said she was newer. Honestly the cook was more aware of what I needed than the cashier. He was efficient friendly and trying to run the place, so not sure if he's the owner, but he helped put 2 stars instead of 1 for this experience.
Honestly we paid $27+ for 2 small sides and 2 small shakes it's a bit much considering the flavor was off and portion super small. But shakes were good. We tipped 15%. So spent $31.02 for really just enjoying the shakes and tots.
Their burgers sound good. I may consider trying that next time. But as for the cheese sticks and portion sizes for both, it's pretty pricey. I guess being in Seattle that makes sense...but idk I can't justify it for some reason, but if you're starving, it's a good spot for tots and shake. See photos for...
