Patterson Cellars Tasting Room SoDo District — Restaurant in Seattle

Javin, the manager, was incredibly rude. Once I said I had a Groupon he was visibly annoyed and told us that they’re booked and don’t allow reservations for Groupons so we’re going to have to wait a while. Told us not to sit in the chairs by the window while we wait because he “needs them”, however they were empty the entire hour we were there. When he poured our tasting he said “I don’t even know what’s in this one” and walked off, ignored us most of the time. We also heard him complaining about other tables and being busy. Horrible experience. Why did they do a Groupon if they don’t want people to use them? We would have never known about this place without it, and now we’ll never go back. We left and decided to try the neighboring wine cellars, which were great so we’ll go...

Watch yourself. Patterson needs to upgrade their security and checks for not only who is, or is not a member of their wine club, but also who people actually are. Someone walked in, impersonated my wife, and acquired 500$ worth of wine. Yet, this is our fault Patterson let someone steal our identity? Not only is our wine club membership canceled, but the wine we hadn't picked up from the last release won't be given to us, and we won't be refunded for the release not picked up.

This is a pretty specific issue, but the identity theft aspect is pretty serious.

We love this place, and the staff have all been so friendly it’s just a pleasure to come in and chat with them. I have to give Javin the manager a special shout out. He is the absolute best. I’m a dummy and didn’t book a reservation for my wife’s birthday party, but he said we could post up at one of the larger tables in the back and more people than expected showed up. Even though he was busy with other guests and a private party who actually made a reservation, our service was impeccable and I’m just really appreciative of all the effort, patience, and hospitality he and his team gave us. 200 out of 10, will come again (but with...
