I have been here many times over the years & the older Mexican gentleman that owns the place (at least he did a few years ago) is just a sweetheart of a man. Always ready with a smile when he greets patrons of his shop. And that attitude has trickled down to the employees too, as they are helpful and courteous. In addition, as stated in previous reviews, they have a lot of "stuff" here so one is sure to find what one needs. A must stop when in Seligman, for sure. Also, I felt compelled to say in response to Miss C. Stevenson's poor review; To give them only one star and say that one is "not happy" for the simple reason that Google said they were open until 9 but were closed at 8 upon arriving there is not exactly fair, at least I don't believe. It must be taken into consideration that many times I have driven to a business at a certain time going by what it said on Google and the business had already closed an hour previous, or arrived at 8am because it said so on Google and find out the establishment doesn't open until 9 or even 10am! Several times I've brought it to the attention of the manager or owner of the business and every time, every place that this issue came up, they have asked Google more than once usually, to change the time on their Google Map listing because it was wrong. The point I'm trying to make is it's been my experience that more than likely, it's not the proprietor's fault that the opening or closing time is incorrect. And to not place all the blame upon Google, let's say the times listed were correct. It's a small business in an even SMALLER town. If the store was really slow that day, they have every right to close an hour early so as to save labor costs, power costs for electricity, etc. I realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but judging by your review, you have never even stepped foot in the establishment so it just doesn't seem fair to give them the worst rating in this system. And NO, I do not work there, nor do I have any relatives that do. I only try my best to be fair & honest and not let emotions...

Read moreThis had to been the worst experience I ever had shopping in my entire life. First, I would like to say that many years ago I had work at Home Depot, so I know how important custom service is and to greet customers. I was riding with my friend and he needed to pull off the freeway for gas in the small town of Seligman. I have always liked small towns and look forward to browsing in their quaint shops. My friend decided to stop in front of the General Store and as he was getting gas I walked inside to buy some chips. There was only me and this woman in the store and she started to follow me around like I might be trying to steal something and not the warm friendly greeting you normally get when walking into a small-town store. I found the bag of chips that I wanted and to my surprise as I placed the bag on the counter she said in an arrogant and rude voice, “Is that all your going to buy in this store.” To add insult to injury as she was giving me back my 6 cents in change she dropped one penny in the small dish next to the cash register then dropped the nickel in my hand. I really could not believe they would promote such rudeness in this store. That is why they should put a sign in front of that General Store which reads, “Customers Not Welcomed.” I DO NOT recommend going to this General Store unless you like to be rudely treated,...
