Sellersburg Town Pool — Local services in Sellersburg

Unfortunately, me and my family wont be going back after today.For some reason the lifeguards and management have allowed any kind of Ball throwing in the pool,putting Eveyone including the little kids in jeopardy. Today it was a football being thrown across the pool by 12 to 16yr olds,who stand in the 3 and 4ft were the little kids and kids who cant swim stay so these kids have No place to swim.When I asked the lifeguards why they allow this,one lifeguard who told me she was the GMs Daughter told me she cant answer any of my questions??Three weeks ago my wife got hit 4 times with a ball and she wasn't even in the pool,she was sitting down in the pool area and last week we left for the same reason. She Emailed the pool and was told it would be addressed?? I guess it wasn't. This is not fair to the kids,my girls are 7 and 11 they will be hurt if the get hit in the face with a ball in the face..especially Football???Any kind of ball..The Asst.manager AJ was very nice and professional, I have No idea when the supposed GM is there.It really amazed me how the Lifeguards could care less, one of them even told some other guest after she just lied to the Asst.manager that she told the boys to move that I was complaining so everyone was giving me dirty looks.I dont know what this pool is waiting for someone to get Hurt ? The pool being sued? Or a fight to break out??? Just lost another...

I have swam at this pool for many years, since my daughter was small. She is now in college. I have always loved this pool because of the management, top notch Lifeguards, and it's not as crowded as other pools. Today I noticed this pool is under new management, beware!! Here is my experience. I left so disheartened.

The Lifeguards did not appear to want to work today. They "heard thunder" and we sat out 45min 2x!! Then they decided to close. The radar showed NOTHING for miles and I never heard thunder.

The manager appeared unable to manage and instead allowed her teenage Lifeguards to rule her thinking...so sad. The worst experience I have ever had there. The guards were all sitting around and they all (including the manager) flocked like chickens to figure out the situation. So unprofessional and very disheartening. Previously management would have handled this in a different way. Also, it was communicated that different Guards do things differently with the kids...everyone needs to be on the same page. Rules are rules and all Guards should follow them.

People/ kids could have swam today but these teenagers didn't appear to want to do their summer job and the manager did not appear to have the ability to rise to her level of authority and make a call that was consistent with the radar. I left feeling so frustrated! Just not okay on many levels in my humble...

I went there today for the first time and was so happy to see a small crowd and lifeguards doing their jobs. Plenty of lounge chairs so we settled in. After we got all toasty, we headed to the shallow end of the pool to get in and cool off. Much to my chagrin, THERE WERE NO STEPS!!!!! Who the h*ll builds a nice pool and doesn't include easy entrance and exit. Of course the kids and teens can climb in and out easily on those horrible ladders but what about us senior citizens with bad knees? I'd have given this place a 5-star review but after struggling to climb in and out of the water all afternoon, my poor knees were screeching and unfortunately I'll...
