UpScale Hobbies & Gaming — Local services in Sellersburg

UpScale Hobbies is a fantastic local shop in Sellersburg, that specializes in Gundam, autos, paints, assorted supplies/diorama materials, odd and ends, and a serious section of GamesWorkshop game stuff (40k, Age of Sigmar, Blood Bowl, and some other stuff make appearances here).

Knowledgeable hobby staff (Justin is a Gundam guru, and Chris, one of the owners, is an auto modeler, painting/hobbying specialist), that is extremely helpful.

There is a small, but vibrant gaming scene there as well (associated with the various warhammer games), that means there are often hobbyists there working on models, sharing tips, or playing games and they are very welcoming of those who are interested in dipping their toes in some aspect of the gaming hobbies.

The prices are reasonable, and they even deal in trade ins if you have in box models/gundamns resting on your shelf you think you will never get into and want to trade in.

The store is generally well stocked (sometimes paint distributors are a little slow to keep em fully stocked), and they are quick to order things you might want that they dont have in stock right then.

Ive shopped there off and on for gifts for my sons, and stuff for myself several times over the last year or so, and they always have come...

Amazing customer service. I called because the shipping address on my paypal was different from the shipping address I needed. When I spoke with the gentleman he was more than happy to explain that they do not go by the paypal address but the actual order confirmation. When I asked for the estimated shipping date he told me that my order was not processed yet but was in que. I told him that I needed it for a gift by the 14th and asked if he could possibly get it out sooner. He told me he would process it tomorrow. The next day I received confirmation my order was processed and I have a shipping date that will get my gift here on time!...

UpScale Hobbies & Gaming is the type of game shop you want in your town. Great selection of paints at more than fair prices and a good selection of models/miniatures. I brought my 4 year old daughter with me today and Justin surprised her with a pack of pokemon cards, some stickers and even a kite. As a parent, I was super thankful for his generosity and inclusion of her in our shopping experience. Its all shes been talking about today!
