Had just bought groceries over the weekend when my refrigerator then decided to bite the dust, so despite keeping them in a cooler of ice until the new fridge was delivered yesterday, they still seemed questionable when I took them out of the cooler, so rather than taking any chances, I called customer service ahead of time to explain the situation and that I still had my receipt but had not gotten to use any of the groceries I just bought to see if I could return only the refrigerated items and get fresh replacements, especially given the price of groceries nowadays, and the manager was very courteous & understanding and agreed to do so as a one-time exception given the circumstances, yet whenever I called the Cranberry WalMart and asked the same for the other groceries I had just purchased there over the weekend too, their manager was the complete opposite in demeanor and refused to do anything whatsoever to help me, so I will now be giving my business solely to Giant Eagle instead for demonstrating more compassion toward their customers during a crisis, especially during a time when the price of groceries is at an all-time high and not everyone has the extra money to be throwing away on replacing wasted food they never even...
Read moreFor a time, this Giant Eagle had stopped serving it's premade subs in lieu of the introduction of a 'made to order' sub station. I ordered one of their standard subs and decided to eat it there. After eating a few bites I noticed a few drops of red on the wax paper that they used to cover it (now acting as a shield to catch crumbs). Something in the sandwich cut my lip as I started to bleed uncontrollably. No one stop to even ask me if I was ok (all employees were either in a 'work daze' or ignoring everyone while playing with their phones),

Lack of concern and a ridiculous response to what was a scary situation not only for me, but for anyone else getting a 'made to order' sub. So much for customer service -...
Read moreGiant Eagle at Seven Fields is by far the worst supermarket in the entire area. My wife went there Monday evening at 6:00 pm to pick up groceries and bring home some meat and other items from the Deli to have for dinner and found the Deli to be closed. What manager of a supermarket would close a Deli on a Monday at 6:00 pm when people are coming home from work and stopping at the store ! We have been rapidly growing frustrated with Giant Eagle , especially this store that has terrible service and outrageous prices . The management of this store should all be fired and replaced with employees that work toward customer service and treating the customers as if they want them to shop there. We believe it is time to get away from Giant Eagle, including it's gas stations and start patronizing Shop and Save , Aldi and Fresh Thyme, And GOD Forbid Wallmart. Giant Eagle has forgot how to treat customers with service...
