Wife and I went here today (Saturday afternoon) and probably won't be returning. It wasn't really busy; there were 5 vacant tables yet only two of them were clean. The bar had another 6 chairs that were vacant. We sat down at a table and at least 5 min passed before we decided to get up and move to the bar because no one acknowledged us. Bartender wondered off but eventually came back. I asked for a flight, and the bartender told me, "Well, we're out of that" pointing at one of my selections, then gave me a rotating menu. I added my last one and she began to pour. It seemed to me like she was annoyed to be at work; not a very welcoming appearance by her body language and communication. The other staffer that was working seemed to focus only on one big table. I figured, that's why we were never approached to begin with. We ordered food and looked around the place. Nice layout, but the vibes just seemed, blah. A lot of kids and none of the customers seemed like they were happy.
Anyway, got our food, (buffalo chicken Mac n cheese, and great white buffalo burger) and it looked great. Burger was very juicy and tasted good. The buffalo Mac was overpowering with the buffalo sauce and was way too spicy without enough cheese to balance it out. The fries were ok, kind of forgettable. Beers that were ordered were Boysenberry Wheat, East Coast IPA, Hazy IPA, Amber Ale, 504 Pale Ale. Beers were just ok, but I was annoyed that they brew their own beer, yet were out of their regular menu item. Maybe don't have windows to your brewery, if you don't have any beer in there?
I guess for $61 after tip, I expect to have a little better of an experience. At the end of our meal, 2 of the original 5 dirty tables were still dirty and there was a 3rd girl that showed up, and she cleaned off a couple of the tables within minutes but honestly, from what we saw during our visit, there was no excuse for dirty tables and lackluster service. It was...
Read moreCame here tonight for Happy Hour with friends.
Atmosphere: We sat outside under the tent (heat lamps available, but not needed). The tent is in a parking lot, but still felt secluded, thankfully.
Food: The food was great - house-made vinaigrette for the side salad was incredible; I was tempted to ask to purchase a bottle individually. The plant-based burger was also moist, not the usual dry patty other restaurants try to sell. Fries were fantastic and perfectly crisped -cant go wrong here.
Alcohol: I got the Almond Torte cider and the Orange Agave beer. Cider was delicious but definitely on the sweeter side. The Orange Agave was a perfect blend of sweet with just a hint of sour to it. I would have loved to try others, but as I was driving, didn't want to take any chances. I did purchase cans to bring home because supporting local businesses is always important and I live with a bunch of dudes who will surely spread the word.
Service: In terms of service, they were clearly slammed. So while it was slow at times (it took a while to get the box to package leftovers and when they brought out the food I order to-go, to bring back to above mentioned guys, they brought it out plated and it took another few to arrive packaged), it was understandable and they were very apologetic about the waits. After the past year going through the pandemic, I was just happy to see them thriving and was not worried about waiting. They were clearly doing their best under the circumstances and were handling the pressure with aplomb. If you're in the area, and even if you're not (I made the trip from Pittsburgh) it is well worth it and highly...
Read moreWe came on a Monday at 5:30 and every table had a reserved marker. Our waitress politely explained that it’s trivia night and every table is always reserved. We were ushered outside to a slightly covered area. Since our party of 6 had a 3 year old and it looked like it was going to rain we asked if we could sit inside and we would leave at like 6:30 before trivia started (at 7 pm) but they refused, stating “our trivia customers show up early.” We ordered our food as we started to eat it began raining. The staff came out and even though every table was empty still they wouldn’t let us sit inside. All the customers outside were furious because we were all made to sit outside in the rain while every table inside was empty. The rain passed and then a torrential downpour started shortly after. Once the staff saw their menus fly across the parking lot and rain came down sideways we were allowed inside. I’ve NEVER seen an establishment allow every table to be reserved (2 hours before trivia starts), pushing paying customers outside in the rain with no remorse. At one point when we were all getting rained on, a younger worker looked at us and laughed watching us get rained on. Thank you dented keg for pushing my family and 3 yr old daughter out in the rain almost 1.5 hrs before trivia started. I would rate...
