They wanted to charge me over $15K what I found my 44 View for at another dealer. After negotiating them to the same price, I put down a deposit. I explained to the salesman and manager that I wanted to do financing through them but that due to us running our RV purchases as rental businesses we were poor on paper but if the income generated from our rentals was considered, we should qualify but there would be a surface level debt to income issue on financing. I was encouraged that as long as we had a high credit score they could make it happen.

I was passed around to 3 different salesmen during the month and a half I was waiting for a delivery date on my RV. None of them took the initiative to call me and update me. I was the one that always called. The only times they called was after I initiated and they had to follow up. My goal from the beginning was to have the RV delivered before or on the day we closed on our newly purchased lot. There was a 45 day window for this and financing to be worked out.

I am 6 days post lot closing and I am still the one initiating calls asking about financing and delivery. I spoke with finance manager today that said he can't make it work due to our debt to income ratio. I've provided tax returns and offered to provide additional returns for the LLC that will be used to run the rental. They can't provide financing even with us having a low 800 score.

Here is the take away I want to pass onto you... This dealership is extremely difficult to communicate with. When you call, you will often times end up being sent to voicemail without anyone picking up the phone. The sales people are extremely slow to call you back... like days before you get a call back. The sales people are not proactive in keeping in touch with you. You may be passed around to multiple sales people as I was. You will be promised the moon from the sales person but they are not familiar with their own finance department's policies and limitations on financing available for camper and park models. That lack of knowledge has cost me over 50 days of work that I could have been working with another dealer to get this deal done. Avoid this group, they don't want your business enough to follow up in a timely manner no matter how much they oversell what they can deliver on the front end.

Update: A week after being told they can't make it work, I still didn't have my deposit back. This is after calling and asking to speak to the sales manager and texting the last sales person they put me with. I had the owner's, Larry Stover, phone number and called him to relay my experience and to also get help getting my deposit back.

I explained to Larry who I was (we had previously spoken). His voice changed from pleasant to agitated. I told him I wanted to share my experience with his dealership. "I know all about it. We've done everything we can to get you financing. We are in the business of selling RV's if they could do anything they would have."

I simply wanted a chance to explain what I experienced and ask for help getting my money back. He didn't want to hear anything about what I experienced. I think he has already read about it on this review which would explain his agitation. He told me he would call right now and get the manager to refund my deposit. 2 hours later, I still hadn't heard from anyone at the dealership (surprise, lol) I emailed the finance manager who finally called me back and initiated the refund.

When I started my experience with A&L, the Sales Manager said, "I want you to have an experience where you keep coming back to buy your RV's with us in the future." After working with multiple sales people and even talking to the owner, each interaction with someone has built my resolve to never do business with these folks, especially after today and being spoken to by the owner like a dog.

If you have made it this far in the review you know whether you need to buy from...

08/25/20 - Update: When I arrived to pick up the camper the camper was set off to the side in the back parking lot and I was shown the install of the AC unit, and explained the repair on the grommet for the Black Tank, but since the camper was not hooked up could not verify the unit worked nor could I verify if the leak in the grommet did resolve the problem. I was pretty disappointed that this would of not been hooked up so I could see everything worked.

When I was looking the camper noticed the wires were left hanging from the powered stabilizers in the rear of the camper. I highlighted this to the service manager which he addressed immediately, but to just see wires hanging raised my concerns this was a “rushed” Job and as I looked over the camper entirely and the old bottom put back on which I expected, but I would assume at least the old tap that was used would have been replaced. Sadly that wasn’t the case and still even had the gravel on the tape when it was pulled pack to look for the leak at the camp ground and they didn’t even pick the gravel out they just put the tap back on. I believe my reaction to seeing this was complete amazement in a negative sense. I also noticed that it appears a couple of screws with the washers was also missing. It just affirmed in my mind this was a “Rushed” Job in putting it back together.

Leaving at a 3 Star review as while the issue appears to be fixed cannot confirm because it wasn't hooked up and the other items I noted in pick up.

08/07/2020 - Update: After this review, Both service managers reached out to me to apologize and work towards a solution. I've received 3 updates since then and can tell they are earnest in their reputation as well as customer service. I'll post a final update once the repairs are complete and overall once this situation is resolved.

08/06/2020 - Update: After only owning it 2 weeks and taking it on its 1st time out camping discovered the black tank was leaking 3 days into the trip. I had to get by camping the rest of the week without using the campers bathroom. I took the camper back and it's now been over 2 weeks without any updates. I've called 3 times and they do not return my calls I have to continue to call and told the person working on it will call me back and I have yet to receive a phone call. I can no longer recommend this company and will be looking into filing complaints via the better business bureau.

A great family owned RV sales company. I purchased a 31ft Forest River Vibe and overall the experience was great but rushed. Staff was friendly but overwhelmed with how much business had increased. Everyone looked like they were sprinting to each person. When I came to look at the RV they warned me they were overwhelmed it would take some time. So as I expected I had to chase down a sales person to which I did, when I did get a sales person he was very friendly but was sprinting between customers. I went through with the purchase and on pick up It was again the same “rushed” feeling when signing paperwork to hook up. Only time that we didn’t feel rushed was the walkthrough which was great and appreciated that. Sadly though during the hook up and final walk through an employee interrupted the gentlemen who was giving us the final walk through. Which he did a fantastic Job, but because of the interruption and it was forgotten to put in the hoses and items that were supposed to be included. I called and they did ship this to me which I appreciated. Overall a great place to buy but don’t go on a weekend it’s madness and expect to be patient. If you need info slow them down because it feels rushed all the way through do so. So back to summary. A great but rushed experience. I would recommend them to check out for sure and I’ll likely be back for...

Thinking about buying a used recreational vehicle from these people? Think again. To simply tell you, buyer beware, would be an understatement. If you are not fully knowledgeable on what to look at when purchasing a used recreational vehicle, do not trust these people to explain anything to you. We made the mistake of thinking that buying from a dealer was a wiser choice than buying from someone off of Craigslist or Facebook. We purchased a camper that is literally falling apart and we have only used it for a couple of days now since purchasing it.

We understand the term AS-IS and we understand the consequences that come when you purchase something AS-IS, so I'm not going to sit here and cry to you or anyone else about our bad fortune. Shame on me for being an uninformed consumer.

However, I will emphasize that I believe that these people will sell you anything they can for as much as they can with no apparent concern for you or your family's safety or well-being. We bought our camper and the very first time we set it up, within just two days it is literally falling apart. We have been told now that it may not even be safe enough to drive down the road pulling it or it may fall apart as we go down the road.

We are not well off. We cannot afford to throw away money. But now, we will be paying for three years for something we cannot use for the next 3 months.

Again, I understand purchasing AS-IS. I understand the consequences of making a purchase AS-IS. What I can't understand is how a dealer who supposedly cares so much about a family and families making memories could sell a camper in such terrible condition that it literally begin falling apart on the very first day that we set it up to use it.

We've had several people look at it this week and all of them believe that there is no way that the dealer, supposedly professional dealers, would not or could not have known what condition this camper was in when they sold it to us.

Shame on you A&L.

We recently relocated to this area from a different state. In that state, an as-is sale could be contested if it could be proven that there was knowledge before the sale by the selling party that the item was either completely unusable, or if it was unsafe. An as-is sale of such an item could only be completed if there was complete and proper disclosure at the time of the sale.

I'm not sure what the laws are in Tennessee, but I'm sure I'm going...
