Well, here I sit in my house with almost all furniture moved out in preparation for my new carpet that is NOT being installed by Shasta Lake Floors today after waiting 5-1/2 weeks since ordering it. Yesterday I received a call to confirm the installation, then got another call that they don't really have my carpet... but they have one that "looks like it." After a visit to the store where no apology was offered, and a refund of my deposit could not be made because nobody there knew how to do it to a card, and then some phone calls with Pete, the owner, we were left with the choice to take the lower-grade carpet they had in stock (they claim to have accidentally installed our carpet in another house) with a few hundred dollars discount from the $3,200 job) or wait while they re-order "our" carpet. No apology, no offer to discount for the extra wait time and the fact that we have to move our furniture back in and then out and in again... no indication that they care a single bit about the inconvenience to us for their mistake. We said, "No." We don't want to work with them anymore. Hopefully, my deposit will be returned via a check in the mail. I'd better get to work now, putting our house back together and go back out to start the whole process again that will take another 5-1/2 weeks. I am so...
Read moreI attempted to give a flooring repair job to SLF. I had not read the other reviews here until now, But the owner did come out and pulled up wet carpeting and flooring ruined by a leak. He later forgot one important thing, The customer is always right.

Wet or dry, I know for a fact the leak had been repaired and the fiberwood flooring was sagging when I walked on it, telling me it needed to be replaced before I walked on it and fell through it. He insisted he would NOT start the repair until the ruined under-lament was dry. I told him to bill me for the emergency tear-up work he did and I would be hiring another contractor. I likely now will do...

JUST A JOKE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE SINCE HAD 3 COMPANIES LOOK AT THIS AND QUOTEDED ME BETWEEN 4-5 HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR ENTIRE HOUSE. ALL TECHS TOLD ME THE SAME THING, VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP.
