Silver Dollar Club — Restaurant in Shasta Lake

Wow! I was working from out of town looking for a bar with a pool tournament when I happened upon the Silver Dollar Club. Yes! they have one on Tuesday nights. It starts promptly at 6pm, so make sure you get there early to sign up! Stacy and Chris, both avid pool players themselves, made me feel very welcome when I came walking in. I can’t say enough about how well the tournament was run. Chris runs a tight ship! Not much waiting around when he tells two players they’re up on the next available table. He knows people have to work the next day so he likes to keep things moving. He even had the brackets up on a big screen so everyone could see how the tournament was progressing. Very cool….

Everyone there was having fun and eating spaghetti and bread (for Pennie’s on the dollar) Stacy had brought it in for those who got off work and jammed over to the tournament with no time to eat… very thoughtful…and good!

One night, I forgot my break cue and panicked when I realized it was not in my case. I immediately called and Stacy picked up. She reassured me that they noticed it and set it in the back room til someone called. That someone was me! A week later! She said she’d keep it there until I was back in town to pick it up. Thank you Stacy!! 👍

I’m a bit late on writing this review so maybe some things have changed. But one thing remains a constant for me, the good memories of...

2017ish: I love this lil spot. Our favorite NorCal bar! Always a fun crowd to engage with and the bartenders have a good pour. Good bar! Update: The above review was posted 4 years ago, but 2 years ago we stopped in for a drink at about 9:30 and the guy behind the bar (The old owner) was a total jerk!! We were so disappointed.

3/2022: So needless to say... We were really excited to see the "Now Open" & "Under New Management" signs this time in town. We'll be stopping by first chance we get! 😁👍🏼💖

11/2022: Still a must stop!! Seems since new ownership every time is better & better!! One of my favorite memories is when we talked Grandma into coming and having a drink with us! She still talks about it! (Probably the last bar stop shell remember! {And we'll remember with her!}) Paul is great and honestly I can't wait to meet more of the crew!! Can't wait to call this our local...

Small atmosphere. People got way to drunk for their own good and the male bald bartender kept pocketing money and flirting with the females. There should be a limit how much the bartender will allow you to purchase and not get his customers belligerent drunk loud and obnoxious to the neighborhood in the area. Bartender is careless unorganized and disrespectful. Personally I was overcharged with every drink there and felt very unwelcomed. Took 30 minutes to get one drink due to the bartender flirting with young females around the pool table area and out back outside. The food seemed to be microwaved food and was cold. The bathrooms? People bring you're own personal hand sanitizer. If this rating had a negative option it would be - 20. Someone please call health services on this place and whoever really owns this spot! Parking was horrid I felt like my car was going to be...
