Cobbler's Closet — Local services in Shawano

This store is fantastic. Ignore the ridiculous bad reviews. Obviously these people were not actual customers, but rather disgruntled people with the current political climate. If you notice the bad reviews are about the store’s mask policy (they are required in the store). Since WI currently has a mask mandate, businesses are REQUIRED to enforce this mandate or they face stiff consequences. I, for one, respect a business that follows mandates and laws closely (however controversial they may be). Particularly when they are health and safety related. I prefer that politics stay out of my shopping experience.

Now, as for the actual business... They have quite an excellent selection of high quality brands that are well known for support and comfort. (I know many review outlets do not allow “name dropping” so think high end European comfort and performance athletic brands.) I was totally surprised that such a small town had a selection like this (I’m from a large city in Texas). The brands they carry ARE NOT discount brands that you would see in self-fit chain stores.

On top of a good selection, the service is amazing. They are full service store that includes measuring your feet and assisting with selection for your needs. They know their shoes and foot issues problems. I work with professional trainers and physical therapists on a regular basis and the staff at The Cobbler’s Closet are SPOT ON with recommendations...

Was an unfortunate stop. My mom, daughter and I did some shopping around Shawano to see what they offer. While the quality seems good, you can find much cheaper prices for the same brands online. Now, I get supporting small and local, and sometimes the service you get locally will really make up that difference. Not the case here. We were glared at when we came in. When asked what we needed, we let them know we were shopping around. As soon as it was obvious to them we weren’t there for anything specific, we were followed around...
