FireLake Ball Fields — Local services in Shawnee

Ash far as Ball Fields go, this would be in my top 5. The bleachers are all covered, so getting out of the sun on hot oklahoma days is easy to do. Bathrooms are right next to the fields, and they are air-conditioned, and there are plenty of stalls. We were there the whole day, and not one time did we run out of paper towels or toilet paper and that's a big Plus in my book! The concession stand had a full array of snacks popsicles ice creams corn dogs hamburgers nachos French fries. You name it, they had it. There is a Bowling Alley at the front of the property, as well as a small Casino. The ONLY thing I didn't care for was the fact that the Ball Fields are NOT GRASS ITS ASTRO-TURF. Quality set up, with shaded/covered stadium seating at each field. Snack bar in the center of the fields.

I attended a Shawnee High School Softball Game here and had a great experience. The parking is all close in proximity, plenty of handicap spaces. All level, concrete paths which for anyone who frequents ballparks can attest is not a given!

Netting goes from about 2 feet off the ground up to the overhang allowing a panoramic view...

Really nice facility with excellent fields. Concessions were pretty quick and food was average all around. Seats were good size and well spaced so it was reasonably comfortable. Signage is a pretty big issue. Enough that it brought out the 4/5 rating. Family members spent over an hpur trying to find the correct field and I never did hear anyone answer the most common question I heard, "Where are the restrooms?!?" Overall, a very...
