I recently made a large donation to SCHIP in Shelburne, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. I chose this store specifically because of its interfaith philosophy, nonprofit status, and commitment to supporting community efforts—and I’m so glad I did.
Everything went smoothly and seamlessly from start to finish. I spoke with Paula, the manager, ahead of time to coordinate the drop-off, and she was incredibly helpful. When I arrived with a truckload of clothing, Corey greeted me with a warm, cheerful smile. Susan gave me a full tour and made the whole process so easy and thoughtful. Corey helped transfer everything—shirts, dresses, skirts, coats, sweaters, shoes, and racks of clothing —with such kindness and efficiency. CoreIt was especially lovely—so helpful and thoughtful, even offering quiet support when I got a little emotional parting with some of my late husband’s clothing. This is a store run by people who genuinely care. Their work supports a meaningful cause, and they treat donors with such dignity and appreciation. It's really not much of a deal. And we were interrupted from browsing at least twice for every rack we were looking at. (To move so they could hang stuff up.)
