T-Mobile — Local services in Sheldon

Mixed Experience - Great Mobile Service, Poor Home Internet I've been using T-Mobile services in the Sheldon area and have had a very mixed experience that I think potential customers should know about.

Home Internet - Not Recommended: I have T-Mobile LTE Home Internet service in the downtown area, and unfortunately it's been quite disappointing. The speeds max out at around 3Mbps up and down, which is barely adequate for basic internet use. Even worse, the latency is extremely inconsistent, ranging anywhere from 80ms to 300ms, making it unreliable for video calls or any real-time applications. For home internet needs, I would strongly recommend looking into CenturyLink instead - you'll likely get much better performance and reliability.

Mobile Service - Solid: On the positive side, T-Mobile's 5G and phone service has been fairly good around Sheldon itself. Call quality and data speeds on mobile are generally reliable in town.

Coverage Gaps: One significant issue is that there are several dead zones between Sheldon and Spirit Lake. If you frequently travel that route, be prepared for dropped calls and no data service in certain areas.

Overall, I'd recommend T-Mobile for mobile phone service in Sheldon, but definitely look elsewhere for home internet. The staff at this location has been helpful, but the service limitations are significant depending on...

By far the best customer service I have ever experienced by a mobile carrier. Easily in the top 3 customer service experiences I've had overall. Upon entry we were greated with a smile, and were helped immediately. She was then joined by two other employees that offered more help as far as the tech and operation was concerned, while she helped us determine which plan was right for us. She also had our best interest in mind, and it was evident because she let us know the cons of each plan first. They were all helpfull and knowledgeable the entire time. That was just the customer service. On top of that, even their unlimited high speed data plan is DRASTICALLY cheaper than the one from AT&T. If you're thinking about switching from your carrier, go to T-Mobile in Sheldon, and the numbers speak for themselves...but if saving money doesn't matter for you, the customer service quality is sure to lock you in....Again, top tier...
