Pizza Ranch — Restaurant in Sheldon

This is probably the worst experience I have had with the chicken at the Ranch in Sheldon. I called my order in for pickup for 5:30. When I got there, it was not ready so I moved forward to wait. About 15 minutes later, someone came to my car window to tell me that the pizza I ordered was somehow put out on the buffet, but if I was willing to wait, they would give me a large instead of the medium that I ordered. I said okay and preceded to wait. When it was finally brought out to me, I commented to her that I suppose the chicken has been sitting out this whole time. She kinda avoided my comment and said something about being under the warmer. However, when I got home with my order and opened the box of chicken, I could immediately see that it was very hard. As we tried eating it, it was very hard and dry(very difficult to eat). I immediately called the Ranch and asked to talk to the manager on duty. After I explained everything to him, he apologized to me several times and in the end did do something to correct this situation, which I was very pleased about. My husband and I like it here, but we don't eat meat and I eat from only the salad buffet Everytime I go which is half the price of regular buffet. But apparently you pay full price unless you do research on your own or a friend tells you because the price for salad buffet is not advertised ANYWHERE and they just automatically charge you for regular buffet. I have paid for full buffet price for two years when only eating salad. There is also a veteran discount but you can only use the dollar off it's not combined with any other coupons...

As you will regularly find, another location that is hard to complain about. This chain is good about so many things. Employees are friendly, tables are cleaned regularly, food is plenty and warm and not old, and a limitless amount, for the price paid as you walk in the door. It’s a good place for an arrangement of items regardless of salad bar, pizza, chicken, mashed potato’s, bread sticks (some locations have soup, but not this one), and deserts, including fruit pizzas, ice cream and cookies baked in a skillet.
