Main Book Hook — Local services in Shepherdsville

I had the pleasure of going to the grand opening of this nice bookstore on Friday. I was greeted with a warm welcome and a very inviting atmosphere. The owners had great knowledge about many books and authors, which lead me to purchase a series that I had been searching for. There was a crowd around a book phenomenon called blind date with a book. People were grabbing them up fast. I decided to stay clear of that area and proceeded to look around more. This bookstore was full of other small business promotions from candies, candles, and book bags. The ladies that own the bookstore was eager to help promote other small businesses and local authors, all while opening their own. What an absolute gem of a bookshop in Shepherdsville! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and inspired. The owner was so friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about books - which made the experience even more special.

One of my favorite touches was the “Blind Date with a Book” table… each book was wrapped and paired with fun little surprises, including snacks! It’s a brilliant idea!

The space is cozy, colorful, and full of charm - from the joyful floral photo wall to the playful “Be Kind. Stay Weird.” message above the shelves. It’s obvious this shop was built with heart.

And bonus: there’s a great coffee shop right next door, making it the perfect place to spend an afternoon reading and relaxing. I can’t wait...

Main Book Hook is such a charming, and thoughtfully curated space. Trista and Emily, the owners, have created a unique space, in a great location (a cute little coffee shop, and a Mexican restaurant on each side! 😍). While there, my whole family found something new to read, with lots more to come back for. As I was checking out with Emily, I was able to witness Trista’s professionalism and transparency during the buying process with someone; both parties ended the exchange with a great deal and smiles.
