Not So Lazy After All
If you're hoping for a river where you can truly relax and float effortlessly, this is not the one. After a long day of travel and hiking, we were looking forward to a peaceful ride down the river with minimal effort. Unfortunately, while the river may be lazy in name, the experience was anything but.
We arrived around 3:30 PM, well within the posted guidelines: the website stated the last float in the water was at 4 PM, and the last float out was at 7 PM. That should’ve given us plenty of time. But from the moment we got in, things felt off.
We were instructed to head left, but the wind and current kept pushing us right. We were given paddles — which the website says are optional — but it quickly became clear they were absolutely necessary. It felt like we were paddling against the current the entire time.
Not long after we started, a staff member in a boat repeatedly asked if we wanted to be pulled downstream. We initially declined, hoping the river would eventually carry us naturally. It didn’t. Eventually, we accepted a tow for part of the way, but soon found ourselves stagnant again.
We tried to make the best of it, but the same staff member returned and told us we had to be near the exit area by 5:30 PM and out of the water by 6 PM — a full hour earlier than what was advertised. It felt rushed and inconsistent with the posted rules.
Overall, the experience didn’t match our expectations of a relaxing float or what the company advertised. If you're looking for a true lazy river experience, this one may leave you...
Read moreWhere to begin.. the company was GREAT!! trying to float up river sucks, had better luck sending off from the dock and floating in opposite direction from the crowd.. then the cops on boats started writing tickets to those with 21+ beverages.. walked to sign up window with beer in hand was never told otherwise.. a Lil warning woulda been greatly appreciated.. kinda pricey 30$ for 2 tubes n a cooler float.. pictures show all these people on the river only because ya can't make it any further up stream then their 3$ camera zoom will allow.. woulda had better luck flowing up stream with a pair of my sons water wings and downward jesture on the toilet handle.. since seeming how it's nearly impossible to get away from all the drunks at the dock. Therefore leaving you stuck in what you know has to be piss water. then the Lville yupp yupps snearing at the fact you have an adult beverage in hand after a 90hr work week and expect a relaxing afternoon floating carelessly down stream..unless I have the desire to float in luke warm used alcohol and disappointment in my near future, will not be returning.. great idea especially for a 1st date, horrible delivery AWESOME LAZY RIVER.. I apologize for the unbecoming nature of this review but totally...
Read moreOnly gonna give 3 because the people at the front was helpful, definitely gotta do alot of paddling went and current was taking us the same way we started. We ended up taking turns on swimming and moving our float just so we could go somewhere. Once we got to the end we ended up walking most of the way when we could touch but they also don't tell you that they have some big rocks, sharp or anything for that matter, if I was yall I would definitely wear water shoes if you try to walk barefoot you'll cut the bottom of your foot open I did that yesterday along with cutting my knuckle open. We used our own float because we had 5 people with us, we got there almost 12:45 and took us 4 hours to even get down to the bottom. The people at the end helped you get up but the old man that drives the van got mouthy with us because the people helping us get out of the water didn't tell anyone that they had to take their floats up there to load so the old man was yelling at everyone, we crammed alot of people in the van just so we didn't have to wait again for him to come...
