Unsanitary Practices at Subway in Shepherdsvilleš
I recently visited the Subway connected to the Loves in Shepherdsville, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing and unsanitary experiences I've ever had at a fast food restaurant.
When I went in, everything seemed fine at first. I ordered a tuna sandwich and watched as the employee began preparing it. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The employee took off his glasses using the gloves he was wearing to prepare my food, then put his glasses back on, touching them with his bare hands. He also wiped his forehead with his pinky fingers and then resumed making my sandwich without changing his gloves. To top it off, when a tomato slice fell off the sandwich onto the prep board, he picked it up and placed it back on the sandwich.
I was pretty disgusted by what I saw, but I tried to give it a chance and took a couple of bites. However, I couldnāt shake the feeling of how unsanitary the whole situation was, and I ended up throwing the sandwich away. Itās not even about the money; itās about the fact that basic hygiene wasnāt observed, and thatās something thatās critical in a place where food is being prepared and served.
I hope that the management takes this seriously and improves the training and practices of their staff. Food safety should always be a top priority, and this experience fell far short of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI eat at subway all the time, all over the United States but this location seemed to me not to be properly prepared. I ordered a wrap in tomato basil, but they were out of the tomato basil wrap. She asked if I wanted the steak heated which I replied yes please and then she just about put the wrap with the steak and cheese in the over where the other employee caught it and properly instructed her on the proper procedure. (She was very polite) Now the gentleman asked me what I would like on the wrap and I told him. He put very little lettuce which didnāt even cover the steak and cheese, so I politely asked for more which seemed to upset him and then he put on the other toppings. (Lettuce, banana peppers and peppers) As he wrapped it he had stuff falling out and making it just messy he didnāt ask it I would like for it to be cut and after paying he gave me my change and walked away with giving me my receipt He didnāt even ask if I would like to have the receipt so now I have to wait for him to return to ask for my receipt. If I sound like I am nagging I am sorry, thatās not my intent I would just hope that this location subway would spend a little more time with their employees with training on proper sandwich making and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust be careful going in late. Since this one's 24 hours I'm not sure when they swap everything out and put new ingredients in, or close the containers so the meats not just sitting out for hours. I went in and got a couple sandwiches late at night. The meatball container had a two day old date on it, hopefully haven't been sitting there all day and possibly yesterday. The sandwiches I got the meat looked like it was like folding up on the edges once he put it on my sandwich, like it's just been sitting there for awhile. Only one person working also, I was ready to check out after he made my sandwiches. And instead of just cashing me out he went ahead and made the guy after mes sandwiches too so I was there just waiting for my soggy...
