Flo — Local services in Shillington

I needed to find a new stylist and salon, and decided to try Salon Flo based on several factors: it's near my home, has very good reviews, and the website has a lot of information. I wanted a very big change in style as well, and wanted someone who was up to date with styles and skills. So I called for an appointment and was scheduled with Erin.

Don't let the appearance of Salon Flo fool you. It may look rather non-descript from the outside, but inside it is very different. It's very welcoming and inviting, with a comfortable waiting area in soft grays and blues. The stylists' area is modern and sleek. When you arrive the receptionist makes you feel welcome and offers you a beverage while you wait. It's a nice touch.

The salon is very clean.

Salon Flo has a friendly, warm atmosphere. I felt at home immediately.

My stylist, Erin, was ready for me right on time. (Great scheduling is a major plus in my opinion. And it seemed that everyone that came in was seen on time.) As I wanted a big change in style, she looked at my hair, looked at the picture I brought, and made some suggestions to make the style work for my hair and face. When she was done, I had a new style that is flattering, stylish, and easy to maintain. We also discussed color options for my next visit, and I booked the appointment before I left.

Pricing is very reasonable for the services offered, and for the skill level of the stylists. Every customer I saw there left looking very nice and very happy.

Another bonus -there is a parking lot behind the salon. Parking on Lancaster Avenue is hit or miss, and frankly is not convenient.

I have gotten more compliments on my new hair style than I have ever gotten before. I will be going to Erin and Salon Flo from now on.

Updating to add: still as great as ever. When able to open after the pandemic closure, they instituted stringent cleaning protocols, and did everything possible to make their customers feel safe. It still has a welcoming atmosphere and everyone is friendly. Recent renovations include a private area for facials and massage. I am looking forward to treating myself to either or both soon.

Be sure to book your next visit before you leave. The stylists are booked several weeks in advance.

Also, there is a good selection of hair care products for every need, and the stylists will help you choose the right ones for you.

Had an AMAZING experience here at Salon Flo w/ my stylist Genesis. She nailed my carmel highlights & toner! Did such a nice job sectioning and cutting my hair so precisely. Finished off with one of the most beautiful full bodied, smooth blowouts I have ever had. It really set off the highlights in the light. I just can't say enough great things about this salon. The front desk greeter Terry, she was so sweet and welcoming. I received $10.00 off for being a new customer. I was offered a drink & chose a glass of sweet Sangria wine they had which just so happens to be one of my favorite things. I felt so relaxed & truly enjoyed my experience here. The prices were so reasonable thank you for making great hair affordable! First visit to Salon Flo for a haircut with Crystal. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and promptly taken to a station. Salon was clean and bright and everyone was very friendly.
