Jade Garden — Restaurant in Shillington

I ordered food from this place and when my husband brought it home I realized that they did not give me my shrimp fry rice. I called them to let the know. They insisted that they put in the bag, I politely explained that it was not in the bag. I paid for a large shrimp fry rice and they accused me of trying to steal. The guy on the phone told me that he put it in the bag himself. I explained that it was not in the bag and that maybe he put it in someone else’s order. He then said “you know how many people try to lie about not getting something.” Are you serious, why would I lie about not getting rice that I pay for, it is just rice. Any other place you call and let them know that something is wrong with your order they fix it, not this place. They accuse their customers of stealing. That’s bad for business. My husband went over there and then that’s when they decided to make the rice which was not even worth it. The rice was mushy and wet. Every thing else did taste good. Every time I order from Jade Garden, I always get exactly what I ordered and the food is always very, very good. My favorite dish is the General Tso’s bean curd. Their appetizers are really good. I love the steamed dumplings and crab Rangoon. Honestly everything we’ve gotten from here has been delicious. My other go to is the curry chicken. That dish is amazing. The prices are comparable to other Asian takeout menus. Always quick service, the woman that takes the orders is always very friendly. I’ve never tried the delivery service, so I can’t comment on that, I always go to pick my food up, but I have never been disappointed to be honest. and I like that you can basically make any dish they have into a combination platter, so you get fried rice and an egg roll too. It’s close to where I live and fast service so I will continue going here. They no longer have dine in, but I have been dined in, in the past. Had the same great service. If you eat here, avoid the sushi if you want to have a good meal. The Chinese food is very good, but this place serves the worst sushi I've ever had, and it's consistently terrible; it never gets better. We even sent it back once, and told them, in detail, what was wrong, but they are clearly not interested in hiring a professional sushi chef, or just taking it off the menu. "Pan-Asian" places frequently have problems like this; they can handle one kind of food, but screw up others, and they don't think that their customers will notice the difference. China and Japan are VERY different places, and their respective cuisines reflect that.
