lululemon — Local services in Short Pump

I visited this Lululemon location while in town and was genuinely surprised by the lack of customer service. Upon entering, there was no greeting or acknowledgment, and no one asked if we needed assistance. When I was directed to the fitting room, the employee simply watched me walk over without saying a word—no explanation, no engagement.

After trying on items, I wasn’t given any guidance on what to do with the pieces I didn’t take. While I’m used to putting things back myself, it’s typically appreciated when a team member offers to help or at least acknowledges the effort.

I also asked an employee about an item that appeared to be out of stock, and not only was she unfamiliar with what I was referring to, but she didn’t even turn to engage or offer to check further. The overall energy made it feel like customer experience wasn’t a priority—almost as if assistance was only offered if I looked ready to spend a significant amount of money.

My family and I have been shopping at this store and the Fredericksburg location since opening. However today I had the worst experience and do not plan to ever return to this location.

On 4/14/21 my 13 year old daughter drove an hour (we live in Fredericksburg) to visit this particular location. We arrived at 6pm and walk around the store to get everything we came to get for her. Get to the register and my daughter shows her military id and her gift card for payment to get a 25% discount. The cashier starts seperating the clothes as to what she saw each of us pick up... Says one stack will be full price and the other will get the discount... Literally begins arguing about what clothing items potentially belong to who - even though we clearly are the same size and can wear each other's clothes - not that I should even have to argue this..... After much back and forth and speaking to two different employees I left $600 in lululemon on the counter and we left.

Mind blown to say the very least. What a wonderful birthday shopping...

The only reason I gave it a two star is because the lady who initially helped me when I walked in was super nice. I came in with a pair of shoes that was gifted to me by my brother who came from out of town. The shoes were too big so I just wanted to exchange for a smaller size. The girl who had initially helped me said if I didn’t have a receipt, I can get a store credit or exchange for a new size. The lady behind the counter gave me a hard time. She kept on demanding a receipt no matter what I wanted to do. The way she spoke and looked at me was extremely rude and condescending. She spoke to me like I can’t afford their $128 legging. What a sad personality. I will donate these pair of shoes....
