Read moreI wasn't going to post anything about our dinner last Wednesday, but I got an email asking me to write a review, so I decided to share a quick note: The service was very good, and the atmosphere is great. It's a very nice, vibrant spot, and the fact that it's in Short Pump Town Center is even better. Great place to walk around following dinner. However, it was all sort of tainted by the food and the price. We had two adults and three children. We did not drink, and the kids got food off the kids' menu. One of them, who has autism and is very picky, only got French fries. You have to pay for the chips that are brought to the table, so we decided to get cheese dip too, since we're already paying for the chips. And they were no better than the free chips you get at every other Mexican restaurant. My partner got a burrito, I got chicken fajitas. When the children's food came out, it was pretty spicy, and my daughters couldn't eat it. If your kids don't like spicy food, this is not the place for them. I ended up giving them most of my fajitas. But, I share all this because the cost, including a 20% tip was $118. Three sprites, two waters, chips, a burrito, chicken fajitas, French fries, 1 kids quesadilla, 1 kids tacos. That's it. This would have cost $60 at Mexico Restaurant. I checked. So, the atmosphere was great, our server was very helpful and checked in constantly. But the cost - I just couldn't get over it. And the food was not good enough to warrant the price. We opted to skip dessert elsewhere because of what we just spent. If you've got the money, you'll enjoy yourself. I walked away with a bad taste in my mouth, and it wasn't because...
Read moreMy husband and I went there for lunch. We were in town for a wedding. It wasn’t busy when we got seated. Our waiter was servicing tables inside and out so although it wasn’t packed he wasn’t available much. He was all over the place leaving us with an appetizer waiting for 30 minutes until we seen him again. We also had to ask other servers to tell him things several times. The food was ok we just tried to pay and leave. He kept telling us he was having trouble taking our payment like our ticket was paid. He left and came back and told us he tried to cash us out on the wrong ticket. He assured us it didn’t go through and we paid our ticket tipped him and left. Something told me to check our account and there it was 2 payments. So we turned around and went back. The manager Joe was absolutely no help at all. He was very condescending and nonchalant. I told him about the service and he told me he just wanted to know about the charges. I said well I figured a manager would care about what kind of service we had received….he obviously didn’t. Our meal was $50 and the extra one was $80. He told me there was nothing he could do that we would get our money back in a few days for the $80 charge. No real apology or anything. DISGUSTING behavior. The server was zoned out and all over the place. BUT with management like Joe it is VERY understandable. DO NOT GO HERE. UNLESS YOU WANT MONEY STOLEN FROM YOU, HORRIBLE SERVICE...
